Chan’s Chinese Takeaway

This has honestly got to be the best Chinese food I have ever tasted. Even now we don’t live nearby any more, we have kept on coming back because nowhere can beat it on quality, value and plain deliciousness! This now means a 20 minute drive to pick it up, because they don’t deliver this far, but it is worth the hassle because it is so good. The highlights are the chow mein, made with proper whole sliced chicken breast on top (none of the horrid brown stringy stuff here!), the satay sauce which is simply divine and perfect in sweetness, spiciness and texture, and the salt and chilli chicken which is crunchy but chewy and just lovely! You get a choice of fried or boiled rice or chips with your meal and they are all around the £4 to £6 mark which is really good considering how good they are– I am not exaggerating! They also do all the usual juices and meals in one tub, like chips and curry sauce etc. The girls who work here are also really nice and I think this place more than deserves the five stars I have given it.
