Brewers Fayre

hit or miss service and food. food is usually not bad when there’s not many customers never go on a saturday or sunday afternoon!

The Honourable Pilot is a Brewers Fayre restaurant attached to the Premier Inn hotel. It is always full to capacity and is very popular.
They serve food from the standard menu or do deals such as 2 meals for £8 and 2 desserts for £2 or buffet nights, including Chinese, Indian, Mexican and fish and chips.
Initially I thought the service and food was very poor quality and was disinclined to go back but I’m glad I did. It is much better now, the food is presented nicely, the waiting staff are helpful and friendly and it has a good atmosphere.
I would have no hesitation in going back at any time.

Visited this pub on a quiet sunday night for a meal. Despite the fact that there were as many staff as customers, the service was terrible. Two waitresses were having a private conversation next to our table but failed to notice that our plates needed clearing. The carvery which we did not try looked dry and unpleasant. Our food from the main menu was uninspiring and overpriced. A very disappointing experience. I wont be going back.

Nice pub/​restaraunt. Regularly run out of various items on the menu. If going for a meal it is advisable to telephone first, just to check what is left on the menu. Restaurant is rarely full.

This is a Travel inn That has a very good restaurant on site,
They have a very good choice of nicely cooked food.
The service is quite good and you do not have to wait to long.
