This large traditional pub(known locally as the FBI) can be found past the Martello tower, after the golf club at the end of Felixstowe Spit. The outside is often adorned with hanging baskets and the outside benches are often full on a nice day. Inside it has a warming, friendly atmosphere with a large wood burning fire place. Like the pub across the road ‘the Victoria’s its menu can be viewed on various blackboards and has various fish dishes mixed with the usual ‘pub grub’ The food is great and you can get a good meal for about £8-£10 per person and there is a wide selection of beers and bitters including Adnams. The staff and manager are very friendly and would be happy to tell you the buildings history which dates back as early as 1043 and take you through some of the various black and white pictures on the wall. If you can make it out that far, its well worth the trip.

This café is situated just past the FBI, which is quite a nice pub, but if your just interested in something a little cheaper and less fuss try out the café. The carpark is NOT free so you should try and park nearer the FBI unless you want to pay. Don’t risk just parking they are quite strict and would have you clamped before you can ask for your all day breakfast. The food is quite good, nothing fancy, typical meals include all day breakfasts, bangers and mash, fish and chips etc. Service can be a bit slow when they get busy so if you are limited for time(on lunch) make sure you order as soon as you get into the door.
