Been here almost a dozen times over the last few months. Really like it. Coffee is good, as are the teas(which come in a teapot so you get two cups worth). Staff are friendly. Location is pretty(outside seating facing the water and inside seating for bad weather — although inside is very dark at times). High speed wifi. Great place!

Located on Exeter’s historic quays on the River Exe, the Coffee Cellar is one of a number of cellars along the quays that have been converted into shops and cafes. These have the authentic architectural feature of the cellar arches which is a lovely characteristic. It’s a cute coffee shop, quite a good size inside and there are seats outside too. Okay, so for pseudo(remember, I can’t touch the hard stuff!) coffee this place is pretty good. Which leads me to assume that the real stuff is good too. Service is great, friendly efficient and accommodating. The manager seems quite endearing. He spent alot of time discussing arranging the outdoor seating. Evidently, quite conscientious about kerbside appeal.

Really friendly staff, great décor, and décor that shows that they care. Some nice touches e. g blankets provided so you can sit outside even if cold. Didm’t sample cakes but they looked really nice. Great view of river and quayside.

This place is at the end of the quay, across from Bar Venezia, in one of the cliffside cellars. The staff are friendly and serve a nice Italian coffee. The inside is unexpectedly plush.
