Full review:
I came here for lunch on Saturday after strolling thought the Esher Landscape Garden nearby. The pub is charming, with nooks and crannies where you can tuck yourself into so you don’t feel like you are sharing your conversations with the whole world.
The menu offers familiar pub meals like chicken pie and pork belly, but the dishes are set in a modern way. The chef maintained substance above style, so you get a hearty, filling plate of food (ie. big portion) that looks appetising and enticing.
The only slight downside is some of the prices erring on the high side. For example, the special dish of the day of steak tallies at £18. While I have no doubt it would be cooked to the customer’s utmost satisfaction, I would rather avoid such high price tag at a pub even if I’m in the middle of Surrey.

i like this place because it is a traditional pub, so if you want a drink it is great. However, it also does great food so if you want dinner out, this is a good place for high end pub food.
