I have just had the best pub meal I have ever had! Starter was a simple spinach soup piping hot and nice bread. This was followed by venison cutlets and game stew. My his simply blew my mind. I have been to some top end restaurants and this was loads better. I can not speak highly enough of this pub I come once a month on a Sunday with the family for a treat and am always impressed. The manager who’s name I am not sure runs a tight ship and has a massive focus on customer service this only makes the meal better as most of the staff are professional beyond belief(apart from the South African lass who always seems to be having a bad day)? There is a nice walk afterwards as it is close to a nice garden centre 10⁄10

Having lived in Esher for three years, it was great to go back here and find that not only was it just as good as before, but possibly even better. This was always one of the best«foodie» pubs in Esher for supper, but now the lunch menu has improved even more. I had a delicious Wild Boar burger, which was amazing.

Shops pub, huge menu! At weekends you can’t book and it can get very busy(people queuing outside when it opens) so allow time! In summertime there is a nice garden out back and a green with duck pond nearby. If you like plants or farmers Market style produce then pop down the road to Garsons Farm.

I was really impressed with this pub. I had come in with low expectations, even though it was highly recommended by friends. It was my first pub experience in the UK and I just thought it would be typical bar food, greasy and quick. It was Xmas eve, so the place was all done up. The xmas tree was nice and the place had a warm friendly vibe. 2 people ordered the sea bass, one ordered the lamb hot pot and the others were steak and salmon. I had the sea bass but should have gotten the salmon. The sea bass in the UK is ok, but I prefer the Japanese version better. Seems to be too thin here and looks and tastes more like trout than sea bass. For desert i had the cheese cake which was pretty good. Good texture and the strawberries were fresh.
