Now sports a «find us on Unilocal«sticker, that is among others? Surely Unilocal is only one that displays genuine reviews.

This is my favourite curry spot in Epsom! My husband and I visit almost weekly as both the food and customer service is great! The sauces that arrive with the papadoms are very nice and often prevent me from getting a starter(well, that and my lack of self-restraint.) I really enjoy the Fish Pakoras and Paneer Shaslik for starters, any Balti dish or the Haldi chicken for a main, and the sag paneer or bhindi bhajee for a veg. The service is very friendly and professional, the ambiance is modern and relaxed, and I always leave feeling I’ve had a relaxing and enjoyable meal.

Since moving to England, I think we’ve been spoiled for choice with Indian restaurants, but Sadiqah Spice is by far our favourite. We first visited with some friends a few months ago, but have returned almost weekly ever since. The restaurant itself is bright and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly, offering suggestions on new dishes, or joking with us when we order the usual. The standard Chicken Tikka Masala is my personal favourite, but the Balti is quite nice as well. Honestly, from starters to mains to vege, we haven’t had a bad dish. Wednesday nights are the oddly named«banquet night» but it is a pretty solid deal. Small Cobra, starter, main, side, and rice or naan for £10.95. I believe they’re also running a summer special of some kind throughout the rest of the summer as well. It’s never been terribly busy any time we’ve visited, but I hope their fan base continues to grow. It would be a shame to lose our favourite restaurant in Epsom.

When you lose an institution, several possibilities lie ahead. This site on Epsom’s restaurant row of South Street has housed The Balti House for many years but Sadiqah has recently taken over Well, in this case, I can confirm that a phoenix has risen from the ashes. The Balti House had been an average Indian but Sadiqah is something special First impressions were good when my friend and I walked in — they’ve updated the décor into a bright, light dining room. The menu held some interesting dishes we hadn’t seen before. Then, our waiter told us about the current special, which is on indefinitely — a starter, a main course(king prawn dishes extra cost), a side dish and rice or naan for £10.95. It was such good value that we actually left a generous tip at the end of our meal as we felt it was literally a steal The popaddoms came with pickles including a unique red onion chutney. My mango lassi was also thick and full of mango flavour We started with plates of mixed starters — paneer, samosa, onion bhaji, kebab, tandoori chicken. All were delicious and non greasy. The kebab was especially moreish, being moist and full of spices For mains, we went with the lamb shank and the crab masalla. The crab was the outstanding dish of the night — little balls packed full of crab in a sweet yoghurt sauce. The lamb shank could have been a tiny bit more tender but the sauce was full of depth and little chilli kick at the end. Aloo gobi completed our lineup of dishes. The naan was flaky and light. There wasn’t a weak dish on the menu This has lept to the top of my favourite Indian restaurants in Epsom
