Amazingly wonderful Indian food. You must have the chicken chili starter. Yum! Everything we tried was deliciously prepared. The service is wonderful & makes you feel like a special customer. You can’t go wrong with this place. Enjoy!

Wow! Just Wow! This is possibly the best Indian /Himalayan food I have ever eaten. Incredibly fresh with flavours that I have only previously imagined. Sauces are subtle and flavoured so authentically that your taste buds instantly transport you to Nepal, where the cuisine finds its inspiration. Really tender chicken and prawns that are just melt in your mouth! Can’t rate the food here highly enough. Everest Spice is family run and everybody who works here seems to care, and maybe that is the difference. By far my favourite restaurant in Surrey, and maybe in all of the South East!

In our continued quest to try new restaurants in Epsom, we had our first visit to Everest Spice this evening. The fact that it seemed to be a Nepalese restaurant instead if a standard Indian seemed promising, so off we went. The interior is nice enough, and we were sat right by the front window even though we had neglected to book a table. The staff were all very courteous and talkative, and were quite welcoming when we mention this being our first visit. They were just a bit slow at times, but it was a busy Saturday night, so that’s understandable. Once we looked through the menu however, it became clear that this was still *mostly* an Indian restaurant, just with some Nepalese touches. For starters we ordered popadums which interestingly came in two varieties, and the only obvious Nepalese dish on the menu, the chicken momos, which were actually quite delicious. For mains we just decided to share a fish curry and a few veggie sides. The curry was nice, and the fish was cooked quite well, though I probably could have done without the mustard seeds, and my wife didn’t really care for it at all. The vege was fine, but not amazing. As for drinks, my wife ordered a mango lassi, which seemed pretty tasty, and I tried one of their two Nepalese beers on the menu. It was pretty much just your average lager, though the label on the bottle was pretty sweet. They also have a decent wine list, full bar, and Kingfisher on draft. So, all in all not a bad dining experience, and the Nepalese flair does add some interesting flavour combinations, though Sadiqah Spice and Blue Mint are probably better options if you’re looking for Indian food in Epsom.

The name of this restaurant gives a clue that it serves Nepalese cuisine. To be honest, looking at the menu, it’s hard to tell to tell the difference from Indian food After the obligatory popaddoms, my friends and I ordered the only obviously Nepalese dish on the menu, chicken momos. Th dumplings were yummy, containing well seasoned flavoursome meat and served with a lovely contrasting sweet sauce Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the meal. Our 2 main dishes of lamb shank and king prawn curries tasted too similar. The meat of the lamb shank was disappointingly tough where normally, slow long cooking renders it fork-soft There are better options for Indian food in the area

An interesting one, this. Everest Spice is a Nepalese restaurant that was formerly known as Cook-Ri, and is one of those restaurants which is usually empty. for no obvious reason The food is well spiced and fresh and there is a good distinction between the various dishes, in a pleasing contrast to the rather homogeneous gloop served in many restaurants that use the same few bases for all of their curries. Why is it generally empty? Hard to say — the prices are broadly in line with similar restaurants in Epsom, the food is good and the service is polite and attentive. They provide a takeaway and delivery service, so perhaps people are eating at home instead? The only real criticism I can level is that their branding is pretty awful: from the outside it looks like a garish takeaway joint rather than a cosy restaurant… and perhaps that goes some way to explaining its lack of restaurant customers. In any case, it’s the best restaurant of its type that I’ve found in Epsom, and one that I’m happy to recommend.

Great curries, great service and good old Cobra beer. Had a central table and waiter service was good. Didn’t have to wait long for our food. Definately worth a visit. Toilets are very clean too.
