The Horseshoe Inn is a good pub with a traditional British pub décor and good pub food. I came here with a few friends after a game of football where we watched even more football on TV. There is a good range of drinks, although there are no real ales and prices are quite reasonable, with a pint of Fosters costing £2.75. We were all pretty hungry after football so we opted to have our tea there any made use of their 2 meals for £10 deal, I ordered the macaroni and cheese which was pretty good, if not a bit too cheesy. The pub also offers some pretty good pub snacks if you aren’t feeling capable of a full meal, offering the usual snacks of peanuts and crisps as well as nachos and toasties. Will definitely be paying the Horseshoe Inn another visit soon.

The Horseshoe is a nice lounge bar that does good food. The menu is classic pub, fish and chips, stake pie, salads with lots of heinz potato salad. The conservatory dining area is pleasant and sunny. Service can be a bit slow, so if you’re on a tight timescale, make sure that you order in advance. Good value for money. In the summer you can sit out the back, it’s nice enough but you are reminded that you are on Gorgie Road when you hear a lorry thunder by.
