The Albion is a decent bar but is functional more than breathtaking. This is no criticism however, and it is very popular witht he locals. Fairly no-nonsense if not quite rough-and-tumble, there is a jukebox and a variety of boardgames on offer. The high-standing television seems to dominate conversations at the bar, but there is usually a fair bit of banter going on too. The Albion is, alas, fairly isolated as a pub, though its close proximity to Meadows park means it’s a decent place to kick-off the night. It serves a great pint of guinness and the barmaid is very friendly. The cecor is drab in truth, but underneath the Albion, an underground extension called the Hive spruces things up a bit.
