Roseburn Park

Pleasant city park, watch the sport, enjoy the river and wildlife but beware of dog’s leavings. Friends of the park look after this local amenity.

In the shadow of Murrayfield Stadium, Roseburn Park is a popular place before any Scotland rugby match. It is a well kept, clean park and on match days it is used by many local dog walkers and those looking for a kick about. I came here last May just before the Edinburgh Sevens competition held at Murrayfield, and me a a few friends bought a few drinks and snacks and just relaxed in the park before the games started.
Seeing as it is also just over the road from the Water of Leith, it would be an ideal setting for a picnic before walking along the picturesque walkway besides the Water of Leith.
The park is also good for children too as on the south side of the park there is also a children’s play park.
