#yelpmission I don’t(rarely) drink coffee so you’d think I’d be the last person to give a coffee/machine business a 4* but there is a lot to like about the Nespresso shop. Firstly — it’s beautifully laid out and fits perfectly into the aspirational image Multrees Walk is going for. Secondly — they have a huge inventory of their machines, accessories and coffees. Thirdly — the service is very good with knowledgeable salespeople and free tasting of the different coffee pods. My husband is a wannabe barrista so would never dream of owning any pod-based coffee system, but not everyone can achieve barrista quality at home — sadly to say — especially my mother-in-law. Most people knew to ask for tea when they came round to hers for a visit. That’s why we thought a nespresso machine and frother would be the perfect gift for her. If a visitor wanted a coffee she could just ask how strong they wanted it, with or without milk, and with the press of a few buttons — Shazam! Perfect lungo, espresso, latte or cappucino within minutes. And of course, it looks great too served in the official glass Nespresso cups. And her great-granddaughter loves her baby-cino(froth milk served in the cute, clear glass espresso cup). A small downside of the Nespresso system is official pods aren’t available in grocery stores(compatable ones are though) and the cost per cup is more than paying for packs of ground coffee — but still cheaper than going to a coffee shop. My Mother-in-law doesn’t live near a Nespresso shop but can order the pods online. Empty pods can be recycled in shop or using the mailing bags that came with the machine. There is a great warranty with a collection service — you even get a loaner machine until yours is returned. Only downside is that my Mother-in-law now realises how many of her guests actually were coffee drinkers!

A new exciting shop has been added to the Edinburgh shopping world not so long ago. Love the interior design and the products. There are about 15 different choices of coffee machines, a coffee taster area and a backwall full with Nescafe capsules of different flavours. Its a wonderful place for a coffee lover. Coffee machine prices range from £119 upwards, dependent if you want a milk container included. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. At the moment, justbefore Christmas and after store opening week, the store is very busy. Its not so easy to maneuver around without pumping into another person. I also like the fact that they sell accessories like cups and plates, which compliment the Nesscafe machines perfectly. You can find glasses and cups of all sizes and artful variations. This place is definitely a place to explore and visit, as it’s one of a kind.
