One of my close friends is way too old before her time and likes nothing more than a Saturday afternoon spend browsing around an antiques market, picking up dusty relics that cost a fortune. I’m more of a Topshop and coffee girl myself, but I went along to see what was on offer, and my friend was thrilled when I discovered this place on the web. We got there at about mid-day, and the place was very busy. Situated on Pattison Street, I suppose it isn’t too far off the beaten track, but I just didn’t realise there were so many antique enthusiasts around. The stuff there was undoubtedly beautiful in the main. The bigger items, like bookcases and chairs really caught my eye, whilst my friend is obsessed with old perfume bottles and mirrors. After an hour of looking around, people were leaving and we realised that it shut at 2pm. Quite early for a Saturday, considering it doesn’t open until 10! We left empty handed, but my friend had a great time so that was the main thing. This place is probably wasted on me because I don’t have an eye for antiques, but I could think of worse ways to spend my Saturday afternoons!
