Could this place get any smaller? Ok, here’s the deal. I get the feeling that this Boots is more for pharmacy pick ups than actual in-store shopping. I stopped in for a second –looking for some allergy medication –and Boots had it thankfully, but there just isn’t much there. Their allergy medication selection was tiny, and the staff seemed preoccupied with the pharmacy pick ups. The lady working there did stop to ring up my item and she was friendly to me, which was nice. But honestly, I would likely go elsewhere for my needs unless I was picking up a prescription or something. Even the Boots at Waverley Station offers more in terms of items and selection of things.

I’ve walked past this Boots several times, but it’s probably the least interesting-looking one in central Edinburgh so I never bothered to go in. It’s definitely got more going on inside than it lets on! For anyone who doesn’t know what Boots is *gasp* it’s a super pharmacy, although it probably sells more cosmetics and toiletries than medicine. It’s an extremely large chain, so the service and prices are pretty are quite standard in each branch. When it comes to anything Boots has to offer, I hardly go anywhere else, because they are cheap and extremely thorough!

This is quite a small Boots, stocking only limited supplies of beauty products and very few gifts, etc. There is no food available at this store, which consists of just shelves round the outside and one central unit. However, they make up for this with the medicine counter, which is well stocked and staffed by knowledgeable staff. They can dispense prescriptions and give advice on over the counter medicines. It is a great place to go if you need to ask advice or know exactly which medicine you want as it is usually very quiet and the staff are always friendly and willing to help.
