Friendly, and slightly sexists. I don’t mind. Especially when my waiter uses words like «ecclesiastical» to impress. That’s a big word for a Monday.
I’m come here several times, and there are some things I like and some things I don’t like. I LOVE the filter coffee. It tastes so good… granted I’m not that hard to please there. I like the layout of the café. The front is bright and cheery, good people watching. Breakfast for two is cheap and good. And you can sit and work… when the wifi works. Which has only been once in the four times I’ve been there. Things I like less: you kind of feel greasy and smell like a fryer when you leave.
Coffee and tea are important in Ireland, it could take a long time to find just the perfect fit for you. Maybe this is your place. But it’s not mine.
