Pepitos Restaurant

Horrible waiter spoilt my birthday here, apparently a man should pay the bill not the woman. Sorry it was my birthday. I will pay the bill always from now on. COCK!

We have been to this place a few times, has a good atmosphere for groups and couples.
Food has always been ok and service is usually good but at peak times it can be a bit slow as this place does get busy… The only down side is that last time we went whilst waiting to get seated with around 8 other people we watched a delivery man come in with a cheese and tomato pizza, it was took into the kitchen and sliced up and took to someones table !! The margharita pizzas are around £ 9 on the menu !!!

I went here with my partner 2 years ago and don’t really remember it being like the reviews! It was very busy, very loud and boisterous. Not really our style. It seemed packed with gangs of drunk girls. Service was great and friendly. Food was a bit mediocre and as a result seemed expensive.
The menu has a set price for a plate with a few variations in sides and this means that a meal was about £12−14 all in. This seems fairly good value but you get a burrito with meat and beans and a scoop of what seemed like packet Spanish rice and a salad with a pickled chilli. Fair on them but the margins must be huge.

Just outside of Derby city centre and opposite the Derby Royal Infirmary, Pepito’s is a vibrant and bustling mexican restaurant. It is very popular and always busy, so its probably best to book. As soon as one table leaves, it seems to instantly fill up again! Whether there’s just the two of you or you’re in a large group, the service is fast, efficient and friendly.
The menu is authentically mexican and has a wide choice of food and drink. Starters are tasty like the Wings of Fire, but if you like to share you can’t go far wrong with chips and dips. Main courses tend be large and very filling, good wholesome food, with a good kick of chilli. You can even have them spiced up, but I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you like your heat! If you can fit in a dessert, there is a small but tasty selection, including tequila cheesecake.
If you want a good evening with plenty of atmosphere, you can’t go far wrong with Pepitos. If it’s you birthday you even get to wear a giant sombrero, while the restaurant sings you Happy Birthday!

Not so good now! very small wraps, so much so that the chicken on the fajita is too large to fit in. The service was poor and glum. Not like it was last time we went about a year ago. Seemed like the staff couldn’t wait to get home. The place was closing at 10:00 on a sat. Won’t be going back :-(

This is one of my favourite restaurants. Its the type of place to go with friends, family or as a couple. The menu has loads of choice and can be spiced up for personal taste! The plates are crammed to the edges with food. Because of the portion sizes it is very reasonably priced. A bit out of town so taxi recommended especially if you like tequila. Excellent place for birthday parties.

Good little restaurant on the outskirts of Derby City Centre. A ‘tapas’ feel restaurant serving good mexican dishes. Family run and the staff are passionate to deliver a good, friendly and fun service.
On special occasions like birthdays they excel… doing over and above what is expected– been to 3 birthdays there and every time they have pauded the restaurant to sing hapy birthday and provided a bottle of bubbly (all be it cheap!) and some kind of desert for the birthday person with fire crackers or sparklers sparkling from it.
Great value for money and you definately don’t leave feeling hungry!

this restaurant is great for an authentic mexican meal. The décor is great and the menu caters for all tastes (spicy or not!)
the staff are friendly and promote the relaxed atmoshere of the place.
Its a great place for large parties or special occasions and the staff will accomodate any special requests.
It is alittle out of town and the parking is not great so a taxi is probably easiest, but worth a visit anyway.

I Enjoyed eating at Pepitos it has a really authentic atmosphere and very genorous helpings of food — don’t really need a starter. I have visted in a group and in a couple and enjoyed both visits.
Short distance from town to walk to nearby pubs when your done!

Pepitos is a small and cosy spanish tapas bar, family run, the service is always great.
Great place to go with friends and family and they cater well for larger groups.
The menu has loads of choice and is very reasonably priced. A little out of town but only a twenty minute walk to the centre of Derby. Pepitos is only 5 min from the train station.
