Went here last night, I do like when you are the only people in the restaurant, makes you feel as you are VIP! We went early because we had to get to somewhere else for 7pm. The layout is very italian, lovely décor. The wine was amazing. The food was stunning. My girlfriend had the Duck and I requested that they made a special starter into a main meal which they were more then happy to I had the Venison Ravioli with cheese and tomato sauce. With every meal, they serve the best fresh veg i have had in a while. Price was £33 which you cannot complain one bit at. This is a hidden gem in Darlo, right next to Odeon so you can always top off your date night with a trip to the movies after. After 6pm street parking is free so make note. Happy hour ends at 7pm Happy hour is basically a set menu for £16 Which is a starter, main and a coffee. Great value seeing most of the mains ar £14 on their own. Nice people, great place. Recommend this 100%

Sardis is by far the best restaurant in Darlington. Run by two Sardinian brothers and very friendly staff! We go so regular that we are all on first name terms! The food is outstanding and you never feel rushed. Both my fiancé and i have celebrated birthdays at Sardis and we had a balloon on the table and a birthday cake, just felt like your family coming out singing ‘Happy Birthday’ The menu caters for all, just spoilt for choice and i highly recommend a gaelic coffee to finish Never had a ‘bad’ experience at Sardis First class! (Just booked for tomorrow night)

A favourite of ours. The menu is always changing, the specials are just that — special. I’m happy to recommend this restaurant,

I’ve always though Sardis was overrated. Nice people and reasonable food but not something to write home about.

This has got to be the best restaurant in Darlington. Have been going for over 15 years & never had a bad meal yet. Good choice of starters & mains as well as the specials board. Good service, great atmosphere, always a pleasure dining at Sardis. The 2 owners, Salvatore and Francesco, are running a superb restaurant.

This is a family run Italian restaurant in the north road area of town. Its been there for as long as I can remember and has an excellent repuatation, — the Engalnd football as even eating here. They have a good selection of main courses with chicken, steak, duck and pheasant often on the menu. The prices are higher than the average restaurant but with the quality of the food thats on offer its worth it. I think that this restaurant serves Authentic Italain fare. The staff are friendly and it has a good selection of drinks and a excellent wine menu. Booking is essential on a weekend.

This is a family run, Sardinian restaurant what has been on the go for about 20+ years. It is known as an upmarket and well to do restaurant with an excellent reputation for service and quality. Thou it is in a higher class than the average place I really think it is not overpriced as we have always had very good value for money. The food can be described as Mediterranean with a mixture of meat, fish and vegetables dishes. The owners most certainly take extremely good pride in all aspects including sourcing of the ingredients. I especially enjoy the vegetables as they are always very fresh and colourful but the muscles are absolutely to die for and have not had better anywhere else. There is always a special board with a few extras and you also have a choice of a set price menu where you can choose from a selection of starters, main dishes and deserts. This is one of the finer restaurants in Darlington with only Maxine’s and the Oven in the same class thou Sardis is decorated to its own style what is not over the top or too flash. Booking in advance is a must thou you can sometimes be lucky in making a reservation on the same day on non main evenings. For the full works including drinks our bill normally works out between £25 — £35 per head thou it’s only the drinks that really make a differance. Even the drink selection is fantastic. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. In general 100% all round.

Always a busy and popular place to eat, Sardis offers gorgeous food at a slightly higher price than other restaurants in town. Booking ahead is a must to avoid disapointment. Only down side is the small bar area at reception which gets very overcrowded unless you wish to wait for your other party guests at the table.

Sardis restaurant is one of the older better established restaurants in Darlington. I’ve updated this review, as I now believe that overall Sardis is probably the best restaurant in Darlington, as it is more consistent than other restaurants in the area. We have visited on many occasions for various family celebrations and the service has always been good and I always enjoy the food, I just wish I had a larger appetite so that I could eat more ;)

Sardi’s is a fantastic restaurant located just on the edge of Darlington town centre. It is quite pricey, but the food is worth the money. Everything is prepared fresh and made to order, so if you want something cooked to your specific taste this is usually not a problem. It does get very busy on a weekend, and there is usually a waiting list so you need to book several weeks in advance. The staff are very warm and friendly and there is always an excellent atmosphere.

Sardi’s is a great Italian restaurant run by 2 Sardinian brothers. The food and wine is always great and service is very good. It is always best to book in advance with Sardi’s as it is very popular with regulars and visitors alike, though every effort will be made to squeeze you in. People come back and back here, inclduing regular visits from Middlesbrough football players. Big groups are always welcome and the restaurant is spread over 3 floors, so groups are often kept separate from smaller bookings. Food is quite pricey, but if you are a lover of Italian food it is definatley worth paying that little bit extra.
