This is the main store in the city centre, and is right next to the halls of residence for Coventry Uni. Consequently, it is always mega busy! Always has extensive queues. However, a reasonable product range for a small store, and they are always quite well stocked. Interesting point: it falls within the historical city boundaries and there is a lovely marble feature in the lobby showing the expansion of the city since the mediaeval times. Nice touch.

this store is in the centre of town and very handy. It is quite a small store but does do a large range of food and other items. This store gets very busy and is a little more expensive than other places out of town but you are paying for the convienience. They do necter points and often have items reduced to clear too. It is also very close to the bus stop.

I visited this branch of Sainsbury’s after an interview at Coventry University to refuel. Situated on a sloping street I found it very difficult to even get in! There were 3 door on the street but none of them seemed to be open or working. So I had to go around the corner to find a main door. This is a rather compact version of the usually large Superstore, but has everything your average student will need: beer, crisps, pizza. Very close by to the University and centrally located in the city for easy access for all the residents. All the tills were open and busy when I went, which is good to see as that means rapid and easy service. Rivals, I would say, are the Tesco which is also nearby.

Sainsburys has been here for a long long time now. And a few years back when the wittle arches were built the store had a facelift, well on the outside anyway. This made the store look loads better than its previous incarnation. Sainsburys is always full after you hit half 9⁄10 o clock. They sell the usual amount fo food and drink ranging from fresh dairy products to frozen pizza and wines. Basically this is a full blown supermarket. Quite well disguised as it is half sunk into the street. Its location is very good too as bus stops are lined up directly outside too so great for anyone to get off the bus into sainsburys and back again! Staff are freindly and helpfull too, so if your unsure where something is ask, and someone there will know where it is for you. So if your looking for a convenient store for shopping in the city centre this is it, along with M&S.Great supermarket in a great place too.
