Quite possibly the best burger in the whole of the UK not just Wales. Definitely the best I have tasted in many many years, and I am well known to eat burgers at some point most weeks. This is a burger where you can actually taste the beef and it tastes amazing. Instead of being disguised in dressings and stuff to hide the fact that it is a patty made of over processed low quality frozen beef, these burgers are made from fresh locally sourced ground beef, and you can certainly tell the difference. Wow, just Wow for flavor. They also have Elderflower on the soda machine with endless refills, what can top that!

I absolutely look the look and feel of this place although it’s very student. y The food was out in around 5 minutes and was so so good, I had the chicken(perhaps called the daisy duke?) burger and i highly highly recommend. However I also had some of the beef which tasted a little too athenti to me — a bit too much like how leather smells and I didn’t like the basily/mayo sauce on there. Pricewise was reasonable, not psrticularly cheap/not particularly expensive– around Five Guy prices. Also the bottomless drinks came in loads of fun and different flavours like Elderflower oresse, Root Beer, Ginger Beer and your standard coke. Root beer is my favourite drink ut this one was 100% better than my usual A&W. It was fun and I’d go back but it isn’t quite in my top 5 burger joints.

To encourage you to(momentarily) banish your calorie counters and trendy fitness bands let me introduce you to The Grazing Shed. The place you’ll find the BEST Burgers in Cardiff(well, at least I think so). Tucked away on Barrack Lane(near the rear exit of St David’s 2) The Grazing Shed is the home of Super Tidy Burgers. They use only locally sourced ingredients and freshly baked bread delivered daily by their artisan baker. They even make all their own sauces! Whenever I visit I always have the Spicy Uncle Pedro: Spicy Avocado Mash, Chunky Mayan Salsa, Jalapeño Infused Sour Cream and Chorizo and of course the obligatory fries and bottomless drink which you can add to your meal for just £3! Additional Bonuses: The staff are very friendly. They stock craft beers and even have a sun facing beer garden! What’s more their burgers are so delish they’ll have you questioning HOWDOTHEYDOIT?!

The Grazing Shed has a sign outside that says they were voted the best burgers in Cardiff. If they actually have the best burgers in Cardiff, I’m packing up and moving. Much like Chris, C., I was thoroughly disappointed by my visit. Atmosphere: They have very casual-hip décor, going for a bit of a sleek wooden look. Customer Service: The cashier who served me was quite friendly, so I can’t fault her at all. Our burgers also came out very quickly(maybe less than 5 minutes, which was great). Food: The first red flag should be when I asked for diet coke as a drink. «Sorry, we don’t serve Coke here, but we do have Elderflower if you’d like.» LMFAOWTF!?! I was a bit taken aback, but I shrugged it off and just decided I’ll go for the burger and just the burger. As an avid chorizo and goats cheese lover I couldn’t help but eye the«El Toro» on the menu — a beef burger with honey-glazed goats cheese, chorizo, ketchup, mayo, hot chilli, and lettuce. Let me just say, it sounded better than it tasted. They used what tasted like fresh ingredients, which was nice. The lettuce was lovely and the bun was yummy. But the burger was outrageously dry and overcooked. There was literally not a single drop of moisture in my patty, no wonder they drowned it in sauce to try to make up for the dryness. And I mean they *drowned* it in hot chilli. Was so overwhelming I couldn’t even taste the chorizo properly. If The Grazing Shed is the best burger in Cardiff, I feel absolutely awful because the Welsh deserve so much better.

Massive disappointment. I had long been looking forward to visiting this place and felt so let down when I finally went. Visited on a quiet weekday so there should not have been problems, but there were. My wife’s chicken burger was hockey-puck dry and my burger was pretty overcooked as well. Beer was warm. Nothing was worth the money we paid for it. I wanted so much to love this place, but apart from concept it is a failure.
