Enormous. Which is good because they allow enough room between the stands of clothes to move without accidently trying on the clothes. But enormous is bad if you mislay a small child or small disorientated mother or even a small disorientated self. All the usual Marks and Spencer stuff but with slightly more space. Upstairs is the home things and downstairs is the clothes and the food. It has another handy exit/entrance just by the food if you don’t want to tangle with clothing and are really hungry. Top points for lots of parking — even a mult-storey which is good if it’s raining too.

I went looking for a cardigan in M & S and noticed the cost was € 40 being the nosy little so and so that I am I picked off the price to see the sterling price underneath £25!!! Now I knew I was heading for Wales and Cardiff in a few days time so I waited until I was in Cardiff and headed for Culverhouse Cross and did my shopping there. I spent about £220 and I reckon I saved myself about € 100 so yes I am a fan! Boo sucks to any company who over charge in Ireland — is it any wonder we go North of the Boarder? The other great thing is that when you get fed up with your M & S clothes take them to your nearest Oxfam shop and you can get a voucher for M & S for either £5 or € 7.

This is the best Marks and Spencer I’ve ever come across. Its located in a retail park so has its own car park. Its also very, very big. Set over two floors its quite possible to get lost while perusing the underwear section. The food section is of course my favourite bit and its really big and has so much choice I can even find what I want when they have their £10 meal deal offers on. It also has a great range of plants and flowers and gifts. You’ve gotta love M&S staff and these lot are very helpful and friendly and will even help lug your shopping to the car if you can’t manage. Also its open till 10 during the week so you can do all your shopping after work.

A whopping great out-of-town M&S, situated right next to the giant Tescos, and between the two stores you can get kitted out with pretty much anything you would ever want to put into a house, all under two rooves. M&S is the posher of the two, with the emphasis on clothes and household goods but with a food hall, the opposite of Tescos who mainly do food but with clothing and household sections. They compliment each other well here. The stock is good but I wasn’t too impressed by the staff, who seemed a little bit surly and not too sure which department was which. But then it is a bit confusing, in this oddly three-leaf-clover-ish shaped shop floor layout. One problem I have with M&S is that they seem to have a prescribed range of colours, and that if somebody in the M&S buying department has decided that a particular colour is not ‘in’ this season, then you’ll be hard pushed to find it in the store– not in clothing, or in household goods, or anything else. If everybody shopped here, there would be a national homogenisation towards pastels and warm browns like you wouldn’t believe. Don’t bother getting the M&S loyalty credit card though– they plug it quite a lot in the store but once you look at the actual benefits, you see you’d be better off sticking with your existing credit card.

An excellent, large and spacious out-of-town branch of M&S. The aisles are wide and there’s plenty of space to browse, even with a trolley. I enjoyed a visit here today and was particularly struck by the friendly and courteous staff — especially the two men I encountered: Colin on one till and Reuben in the café. They both made my day even better by their excellent service! There were lots of bargains on offer today and my husband and I picked up some clothes which were greatly reduced. We visited the café for the first time and found it very pleasant apart from the long queue which took a while to shift. The coffees are delicious and all trade-fair and start at £1.85 for a cup. There’s a great selection of snacks to be had, from toasted sandwiches(from £3.50), soup(£3), baked potato and cheese(£2.75) to many other things including lovely cakes! Opposite the café, the Food Hall is a great place to buy things to take home: all kinds of foods including frozen and chilled ready meals; fruit and vegetables, chocolate, cakes and biscuits, wine and also fresh flowers.
