I think Homebase is a bit stuck between thinking it’s a DIY shop and thinking it’s a home décor shop. I don’t really understand why it still exist as its DIY bits are more expensive and possibly not as good as the B&Q across the road and it’s home décor bits are of dubious taste and more expensive than the Tesco across the roundabout. Perhaps it’s the refreshingly uncrowded shop? I used to be associated with Sainsbury but now seems to be attempting to go it on its own. Still, the TV ads are quite good. Shame about the shop.
