A nice place to have lunch or get a quick bite to eat like a jacket potato or a sandwich. What’s also nice is if you’ve got a train catch or have just come in to Cardiff and are a bit peckish you can be sure to be served quickly as every time I’ve been in there I’ve never had to wait long at all. The staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. There isn’t anything spectacular about JJ’s yet it’s nice to know about since its reasonably priced and directly next to the train and bus station.

In the old days of travelling into Cardiff Central early in the morn JJ’s would be my first port of call. I could get an extra 30 mins sleep if I went to JJ’, rather than cook breakfast and for that alone I bow to thee. Looking for carbohydrates at that time of the morning I’d normally go for a jacket potato and a cup of tea. Service was fast, even if the place got busy(and it does). I don’t think I’ve waited more than 5 – 10 minutes, including queuing which is great. Everything generally tastes fine and have never had a problem with coldness or horror upon horrors, have a bad cup of tea. The shop is quiet small and I would only recommend to get a take away. Prices are good here and is very handy if your going into town for the train stations.

Another place Ive been known to buy my lunch — does a really good range of jacket potatoes, panini, rolls, sandwiches and salads — as well as breakfast stuff and tea/coffee etc I usually buy their salad and they have a variey of different salads made up in bowls and you pick what you want to fill a small or large box. I dont like the way the staff dont wear gloves or wash their hands between taking money and making food up or wear rings, jewellery etc. and they use teatowels to wipe things up etc however they are always busy and the staff themselves are friendly
