Is it? has now been renamed and relaunched as barocco’s. The décor is up to date, music is fresh and the venue always has a nice buzz about it.

Is It is alright — nothing special but an OK place to meet up with friends of an evening or drop in for lunch and a glass of bubbly stuff mid-shop. The high-chairs opposite the bar are a bit uncomfy but there is lots of room and lots of other seats to choose from. The drinks are a bit expensive but not too bad. There are better places to go in the heart of town, but overall, not too shabby, is it?!

Is it? Is an attractive expensive wine bar filled with bankers and finance workers who take about 2 hours to drink one glass of wine. The trendy cocktail menu could satisfy anyone’s taste buds but the prices, not so much. Usually week nights are filled with work dues and business talk over a bottle of their most expensive wine, but weekends it’s a different picture, students and Cardiff clubbers venture into this deadly bar and get tempted to try some of the delicious treats they have on the menu, then end up spending their weekly food money on a few fruity drinks!
