I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill place to enjoy a light meal. The décor is amazing, the service is lovely, and the food is great. They also seem to be a decent place to enjoy drinks — since that’s what a lot of others in the restaurant/bar were doing. My friend and I wandered inside Novi after deciding it looked too chic to pass up(I know, great reason — but hey, we weren’t disappointed). We were immediately seated in the most comfortable booth ever and given gorgeous menus(paper on gold metal sheets!). Even though the menu is relatively simple, there are plenty of good-sounding options and I personally ended up going for the plaice and a side of roasted vegetables. When the food came out I was already in love… with the plating, which was oh-so-elegant. Tasting it only won my favor even more. The plaice was beautifully cooked — a slightly crunchy exterior enveloping tender meat. The fish was a bit plain on its own, but the green(pea?) sauce that came with the dish compensated for that perfectly. The side dish of roasted vegetables was great, too. It came with potatoes, carrots, and some other greens that were wonderfully prepared — seasoned, but still mostly preserving the vegetables’ natural flavor. My only complaint is that our waitress(although super nice/friendly) didn’t seem to be that familiar with the dishes. I asked her a couple questions about how various dishes were cooked and for a few of them she was unsure. I understand they’re relatively new, but I still value being told exactly how a dish is prepared because it really influences what I end up ordering. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.
