Asda

This Asda store is in Failsworth, opposite Park 66 retail park where the old cinema was.
This store is quite large, although not as big as the Manchester City stadium branch.
As with Asda stores nationwide, they have a Seattles best coffee machine here, they is one just outside the café, where I got mine from and inside the café. I found this coffee to taste actually quite good, especially compared to the disastorous one I got from a machine from the same company at the Sport City store, where they was no Caramel syrup and just tasted weird and dreadful. They was a nice amount of hazzlenut in it and the coffee was quite nice and creamy at this branch.
This store has a Pharmacy, café and also numerous pizzas like for Pizza and Chicken.
The staff seemed nice in the store in general, the checkout woman was quite nice and even let me take a free bag for life, it is a nice design with the Quality Street brand advertised on it, they replace it free when it breaks so I have got a good deal. Even 6p for such a strong, reusable bag is nice and Asda’s policy makes it certainly a bag for life.
This store has some good stock, with quite a few brands of Gluten Free sausage however the Free From area in general is quite poor, especially in the frozen although I did manage to find an Amy’s Kitchen Mushroom soup, which I rarely see in supermarkets.
This store has a nice design in some parts especially near the Pizza and Chicken counter however I find it dissapointing that the yogurt drinks are seperate from the yogurts and the sausages are away from the meat in general, hence much different from the typical layout. I would prefer it to follow more of a traditional ASDA layout though as although it was nice in some parts, it wasn’t in others and it was confusing.
They was quite a few samples on my visit, one with Fruit and Crossiants, another with Cheese and Crackers, and another with Pancakes and Blueberries, apart from the fruit they was nothing gluten free on sample, The checkout woman did offer me some cheese on its own but due to cross contamination, I had to refuse as she was spreading the cheese on the crackers on the knife, she picked mine up with, without washing it, If I would of ate it it could of made me very ill.

This store isn’t the best, it does have quite a big range but the layout being so different to normal Asda’s which really confuses me and the poor free from ranges and café means it isn’t the perfect supermarket to shop at, also I am still angry don’t have a loyalty card and it makes me want to shop elsewhere. This is why I feel this store deserves just 2 stars.

The store is clean and well laid out. Wide isles so no struggling to pass when trollies are going in opposite direction. George section is brilliant. Some of the staff need training regarding the offers available. I asked a question of two members of staff and was just directed to customer services as they were unable to assist. Other than that glitch the store is superb. Plenty of variety and good parking. Especially good for the disabled and parent and child parking.

This ASDA is probably one of the biggest supermarkets in the Bury area. It sells toys, electrical goods like TV’s, kitchen appliances, mobile phones, clothes from ASDA George, and obviously food. There’s also a small café selling reasonably priced food towards the front of the store. Along the end of the till rows are small travel agents and optician’s. The store is so big you could spend a whole morning/​afternoon there. Its easily accessible from the motorway (m66) and is part of Park 66, which also includes a vue cimema, 10 pin bowling, wacky warehouse/​pub, McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc.

This is the largest Asda in North Manchester. There are always parking spaces, but due to the strange way Asda have decided to have the road leading into the store it can take a while finding one of leaving the car park. There is a great selection of food, electrical items, toys and entertainment goods too. Ive always found the staff to be very friendly and like all Asda‘s the price makes it one of the cheapest super markets for your weekly shop. I always end up buying alot more than i need.

This particular branch of Asda is easily accessible by car and offers plenty of parking and a petrol forecourt. The store itself stocks a large range of George clothing and electricals as well as the usual expected food and drink.
The store is well lit and well designed so that it is easy to navigate and access with trolleys and pushchairs etc. The shelves are well maintained and well stocked and boast many special offers and discounts for the discerning shopper.
there are always staff around to help and they’re knowledgeable and easily approachable.
