Nice food, but not good service. The waiter got the order mixed up for the main course and brought meat lasagne when vegetarian lasagne was ordered. It was replaced without hassle, but not a perfect experience.

Have been a regular, ever since, went there for my partner’s Birthday Dinner in April, 2014. Excellent food in a family run restaurant. Since, then, stopped our visits to all the renowned Italian houses in Bristol and even referred Vincenzo’s to all our friends from the University of Bristol and work. But, went there in June, for the set lunch menu in the afternoon. The waitress was horrible. She was rigid, cold, and appeared as if she was performing an act of charity by serving us food. We didn’t mind, as we knew the chef and often engaged in an animated conversation with the management during our frequent visits in the late evenings. But, there was more to come. We have been given some promo drinks by a brand while we made our way to the restaurant. She straightaway walked up to us, and warned us that we better not drink that in the restaurant premises, which we, obviously, won’t do. Then she went in the inner section, stood behind the pillars and constantly watched over us, that we don’t open those drinks! Which was ridiculous. Specially for those customers, who spent on an average of 40 Pounds in each of our visits! We started feeling uncomfortable, and my partner said that I better concentrate in the food. But, here comes the best! My partner finished the food, and she walked up to us, asked if she could take the plate away, to which she agreed, Then, she turned to me, and there was still food left on my plate, and without even asking, she boldly picked up the plate! I think, we treat our dogs better, in our homes. And, pity on us, we were the customers!!! Don’t think will ever go back! Advise, to future customers, if you want a better treatment, I meant, like human beings or customers, whatever, you, prefer to call yourselves, never go in the morning or afternoon, because I never saw this lady, a single time during our visits in the late evenings or nights!

Vincenzo’s was high on my list of Italian restaurants for a long time. A friend introduced it to me, describing it as a strange, quirky place that you either really like or dislike. I walked in here, and I most definitely liked. The walls were stuck with hundreds of postcards, and there were what looked like rattan wine canisters almost completely covering the ceiling. The postcards are most fascinating things to look at while you’re sitting there waiting for your food. These touches give the place such character. The menu here is so vast — they do pastas, pizzas, fish, chicken, veal, steaks and salads! Something for everyone! Their starter of Calamari Alla Giuliana; squid in a tomato, peppers & chilli sauce was something I liked, but their Calamari Fritti; deep fried squid was rather chewy and not so nice. Their pizzas are good too, they are quite big and you can size them up by ordering any of them as a Familiare, which are 12 to 14 inches! This place continued being my favourite Italian, until one day I ordered the Risotto Vegetariano and was so disappointed when I took my first bite. Weirdly, the rice they used wasn’t risotto rice, but just plain rice. I ate my meal in confusion and should have asked them about it but I somehow didn’t. Since that day I haven’t been back there, because I can’t understand why an Italian restaurant would serve me risotto, that wasn’t risotto. Still good for pizzas and the rest of the grub though. Just maybe don’t order the risotto.

This authentic Italian Pizza house at the top of Park Street makes a welcome change from the chained restaurants that populate the rest of Bristol. Vincenzos is a great place for a romantic meal as the intimate environment and gentle local music will put you in the mood for love(as well as the wine that your waiter will keep flowing). The pizzas come with all manner of toppings so there’s bound to be something to suit everyone. Just make sure you save room for desert — because one look at the menu and you’ll know it’s not something you want to miss.

My wife and I celebrated her 29th birthday at this place and we really enjoyed the whole experience the food had real depth and flavour. We had Chicken /Beef Steak both topped with rich tomatoes and herbs and there was lots of it. We had fries as a side but there like a whole tray full of them. Service was excellent. You often see students in there but they can be quite entertaining drinking the cocktails they have in Vin’s. Highly recommended Bristol food at it best.
