Bristol has always been a bit of an oddity in that, possibly because of their location tucked away in Broadmead, the big McChain eating establishments never stay open late. I’m not a great advocate of fast food, but when you’re out late, there’s nothing more convenient than fueling up quickly with some fast food.
This has now changed with this Subway which stays open until 3am on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I’m not sure their produce is quite as healthy as they claim, but it’s still a quality, tasty alternative to some of the burger and chicken establishments on the centre.
If you don’t know where it is, it’s directly opposite Start the Bus, though if you’re single and planning on going in there after, don’t follow my lead and plump for a footlong Meatball Maranara, which will leave your breath in as attractive a state as your shirt.

I sometimes have lunch at this Subway if I have a few pounds to spare. I really like Subway’s Veggie Patty with toasted cheese and loads of salad and jalapeño chillis. I also like being able to chose the type of bread you want, and it always smells freshly baked.
I do get the feeling that this sandwiches are pretty fattening and not very healthy despite the salad so I try not to eat at subway too often!

Despite being set in the city centre of Bristol, this is one the best Subways there is. Taking into account its location this Subway often has 4 staff working behind the counter, each doing one part of the sandwich, so despite it being the busiest Subway I’ve been in, I was served very quickly and wasn’t in there longer than a few minutes.
Due to how busy it normally is I wouldn’t choose to eat in but the option is there if you fancy it.

we know what subway is so its about staff and location. The staff are foreign and the seating isn’t the best, but the location is amongst the bars and restaurants, and close to the bus stops. I usually come to this one when I am waiting 15mins for the next bus.
