Many years ago I used to nurse many a hangover at the weekend with various sandwiches from this place. I heard that it had recently changed ownership, in fact the outside has been repainted and has a «refreshed» image. This morning I was in the mood for a bacon sandwich and didn’t fancy going out to buy all the stuff to make it so I thought I’d give it a spin. Some of my old favourites are still on there like the Breakfast Roll(which is actually on a baguette) and the Mild Stroke. The bacon Avocado sandwich is also still there from what I could see. Unfortunately despite the fact that there was only one person in front of me I didn’t get to order or eat anything. The person behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me, say anything or make eye contact. He seemed very busy serving the person in front of me and after 5 minutes or so of ignoring me I left. Good luck to the new owners!

If you work in the area, and have experienced one of those nightmarish mornings which involve waking up late and realising you have nothing in the fridge, I’d recommend taking a couple of minutes out if you’re passing Princes Pantry and sampling one of their famed Bacon and Avocado rolls. Trust me, your day could only get better from this point on. And if you appreciate candour from your food establishments, you’ll be pleased to know that Princes Pantry doesn’t pretend to sell anything other than a heart attack on a plate. Boasting breakfast meals with titles such as Cardiac Arrest and Mild Stroke, you know exactly what you’re dealing with here…
