Over looking the water, you can sit outside and enjoy the night air, or go inside where candles adorn the tables, and bands entertain on most weekend nights. This has to be one of the best bars on the waterfront, it’s super friendly, reasonably priced, and attracts a good friendly crowd very different to the clientele that go to some of the other bars, which also makes it a good bar for people watching — if you like that kind off thing.

Now this is an afternoon delight! Chilled, scrufty, outdoor seating, on the waterfront, decent coffee, great spirits selection, and a great vibe! Oh, and they accept Bristol Pounds! BOOM! What I love about #1 Harbourside the most is that it attacks real range of people. You can be sat amongst a group of pensioners having an afternoon coffee, to a few youngsters sat by the water having a cider. For the waterfront thats something pretty different to the bars it sits next to. I’ve eaten here but not for a while, so I won’t review the food, however, it looks as delicious as I remember it tasted. The staff are all really nice. Very helpful when trying to figure out which gin to have; and they have lots! Definitely one of the best places to eat, drink or have a chilled coffee of the waterfront!

I went here a while ago with my new man on our first date. The food was lovely i had the pork which was yummy. We had blackberry ice cream and pistachio tarlets for pudding and oh my, they were good. It seemed expensive but for several drinks, two courses and a FREE live jazz band all evening it was about £36. The atmosphere was just lovely and quite romantic, the staff were super nice and friendly. Will defo be going back :)

I thought the food here was really great. I had the whole gilt-head bream in jerk seasoning, roasted asparagus with aioli, roasted cauliflower, beetroot salad, and the fried ox cheek. The beetroot salad and asparagus were my favorite. The ambiance and live music were also wonderful. HOWEVER, this place really needs to get its service act together. I had to wave down the waiter every time to get anything, including a menu. Plus the kitchen was slow. There seemed to be no system at all in place for managing tables.

This review is of No.1 Harbourside as a coffee shop, judging by the Jonny Q’s review it’s an excellent bar and restaurant. We were attracted by the couches outside this place which were incredibly comfy and it was a great spot to people watch. Unfortunately the coffee was terrible and the service slow. It took over 10minutes to make two mochas when it wasn’t busy. The mochas were luke warm, with no coffee taste and although I requested one to be less sweet this didn’t seem to be the case. I explained my dissatisfaction to the barista and he kindly made me an americano instead. Unfortunately this coffee was even worse; watery and bitter. I felt bad about complaining a second time so I left my undrunk coffee and continued on my way. Oh well.

One of the best places for craft beer in Bristol, plus their locally sourced food is top notch. We both had the hanger steak, with pepper chips — each coming with a generous salad. Looking around at everyone else’s plates, it was easy to see why it took us so long to make our dining decision. We were drinking the local Butcombe Blonde beer, while enjoying the outside seating area, fully taking advantage of No1 Harbourside’s position as a people watching hotspot! Good tunes, live music later on and outside harbour side seating makes this a great pub to spend a summer evening.
