Ellipse Restaurant

Another really nice place to eat and drink…
I’ve found that Bristol does very well at the stylish and modern yet relaxed and chilled sort of vibe and Ellipse Restaurant which overlooks the waterfront is a great example.
Not the cheapest place you’ll find in Bristol but ideal for a special occasion or maybe just a fancy cocktail of an evening.
The staff are nice too which is a relief, sometimes they can be a bit up themselves in places like this!

Set along the popular Welsh Back in Bristol’s city centre, the Ellipse Bar and Lounge has a welcoming and intimate atmosphere, ideal for lazy brunches and lunches alongside the river. Or you could wait until evening when the subtly-​lit contemporary surroundings are a great spot for a couple of cheeky cocktails in the summer.
The restaurant itself takes advantage of some superbly sourced ingredients and the menu reflects the seasons. The cuisine is predominantly British but with a a fine dining level of expertise.
Free from the trappings of a traditional hotel restaurant, Ellipse is renowned for its comfortable and relaxed ambience. The service is attentive and considerate, and the staff are always more than happy to look after you and make arrangements for those extra special occasions
