If it’s an eclectic range of foods in a slightly edgy atmosphere you’re after, this place hits the nail on the head. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice bakery in a nice part of town — it just has a slightly dodgy vibe. The snacks though, are absolutely wonderful. All cooked on site where possible or sourced locally, such dishes as fried dumplings share menu space with lamb ribs. Equally bizarre combinations include salt fish and banana or macaroni cheese.
You can also pick from a small selection of traditional snacks like the Chelsea or hot cross bun, but it’s the unique and quirky stuff that sets the bench mark here.
