You have to remember that Ciao Burger is a fast food take away, much like its more commercial competition McDonalds or Burger King. So you shouldn’t really compare it to the awesome burger restaurants that are close by. I’ve eaten from here so many times over the years and it is always constantly good; never amazing, never disappointing. The burgers are cook to order and you either pick from their menu on the wall or build your own. They have a huge selection or sauces and additions to choose from. I find the chicken burgers are much better than beef burgers. If you double up with a chicken burger(£2.50) you get an absolute beast of a burger! I feel a little harsh giving 3 stars, it would get 3.5 if it was possible. But it’s not a 4 star, so a good, solid 3 it is!

My first visit here and it earns Three stars. Can’t really fault this place although I wouldn’t sit it on top of my places to visit for food. A standard tasting burger wich may be suited to a meal towards the end of a night out. I went for a rodeo burger doubled up, had onion rings, salad, cheese and barbecue sauce. Was to much sauce which made it a messy burger. Fries were good and had a can wich came to about £6, not bad value. The staff were talkative, always a good sign. Not a bad place to go overall they do plenty of sides and add on’s to try, could make an epic burger.

I had heard some good things about Ciao burger so thought I should try it. I went for a ¼lb beef burger with cheese, burger sauce and ketchup. The burgers are your standard burgers that you would get in any burger/kebab shop, they were nice but nothing amazing. For the burger, chips and can it was £4.99. I can imagine I would really like this place after a night on the town but for an afternoon treat it wasn’t the most delicious thing I have ever eaten.

Not for veggies… Veg burger is soggy deep fried goo — interesting toppings not enough. Make it like the Nandos veggie burger and I’ll be there regularly!

Love this place! Lots of choice and variety. Everything is ‘made to order’ so it’s always fresh and no soggy chips! Also, the menu has lots of little cartoony drawings of the fillings, so no pesky reading when you’ve had a few too many! Have made many(sometimes inconvenient) detours to grab lunch here, highly recommended!

Ciao Burger is one of my favourite fast food places in Bristol. It’s nothing special in terms of the food, but is easy on the pocket. It’s also been around for about twenty years, which counts for a lot in these uncertain times. The whole thing is pretty standard from the food prep to the layout, but what makes it so special for me is that they have practically every poster for all that’s happening in Bristol extremely neatly gracing every inch of the walls. What’s more, there is never a single poster that is out of date. I’m sure that when they opened they had aspirations of franchising the business; the branding and ethos have been developed in this vein. But as far as I’m aware this is the only branch that they have. For me this is enough, considering their other, altogether outstanding achievement… the provision of the only up-to-date, comprehensive music listings guide in the city!

Ciao Burger is one of those places that I’d probably class as an upmarket kebab shop in terms of appearance — it looks fairly standard for a fast food place from the outside, and only has around 6 seats inside, so it’s not somewhere you can eat in. I say upmarket kebab shop, because it is super clean inside — and the burgers are good quality! Definitely the best thing about this place is the fact that they let you build your own burger! Kind of tin the style of Subway, you can choose exactly what goes in it and they have a range of extras and options you can choose from. The range of burgers is also pretty good, you can have different sorts of meat as well as a veggie one if you’re vegetarian. I’d probably say this was more geared towards the student market — which they cater for quite well in terms of budget prices. Ciao Burger offers a range of different discount deals, and at lunch time their burgers start at only £2.55 — Bargain!

Ciao Burger is an end of night beehive for many many ravers. As a resident of the area, you are bombarded with dozens of these types of places so you’re probably a bit spoilt for choice for your late night endeavour. Ciao Burger doesn’t really offer much more than any of the others nearby. Their burgers and chips are straight down the middle when it comes to taste and price. The staff don’t really talk much, but are efficient and cope well with the 4am rush. My best bet would be to try one of the pizza places further on, much nicer and better value for money.

This is a burger joint but McDonalds or Burger King it aint. You can get the standard beef or chicken burgers you can get at your more established chain restaurants, but at Ciao burger they’re a little better, plus you also have the option of a wide variety of weird and wonderful burgers to choose from(the blue cheese burger is one I would highly recommend) The prices are a little higher than the aforementioned chain burger joints, but if you don’t mind paying that little extra for better quality, then this place comes highly recommended. By me.

Loud and brash just to wake you up after a night of drinking so you can stuff your face with a huge and delicious burger and chips before flicking through all the flyers to decide your next night out! Lots of choice for vegetarian and carnivore, dirty white burger buns and lots of toppings and sauces. You can perch on the stools and eat at the bars or take it away with you.

This is a small funky burger shop on the Gloucester Road. As well as beef and chicken burgers, Ciao do loads of different vege burgers including one with blue cheese, there is a choice of lots of different relishes and you can also get bottles or cans of soft drinks. This burger shop is open late and is a good place to get a tasty snack after leaving the pub.

This is one take away eartery with a difference. Yes, it’s a take away, yes they sell burgers. Is it like Burger King or Macdonald’s? Certainly not. They sell all varieties of wierd and wonderful burgers, from your standard hamburger/cheeseburger option, to blue cheese! Everything is prepared fresh so it generally takes a little longer than the average 30 seconds you’d spend in a take away, but waiting a couple of minutes here is worth itand it’s not overpriced either! Definitely recommended.

A great burger joint situated at the top of Gloucester roads main shopping avenue. The burgers are freshly prepared in front of you. they do cost extra, so don’t expect McDonald’s prices, but they are worth the extra cost. The blue-cheese burger is my personal favourite, offering delicious cuts of beef and fragrant blue cheese covering. The shop itself is tiny, but adds to the personal flavour of the place. Vegetarians are catered for with a special selection of burgers but this has to be a real meat lovers feast. After a few pints in the flyer down the road this is a perfect alternative to a kebab nightmare after a heavy night out.
