This really is the best burger joint I have been to. I have eaten them all over the world and this was Numero UNO! Moist tender beef, tangy pickles with the tastiest cheese known to man. Also the fries with pulled pork and cheese were to die for. Crazy good food and the wonderfully helpful manager was such a delight to talk to. Full of energy and zest and made it a great birthday meal for me. 10⁄10

Yeah this place is great. I’m a burger hunter, and I’m usually far too critical of a bad burger… I’d heard about Atomic Burger from a friend, and I knew it was about a hundred mile round trip for me to get up there but I did it anyway. I booked a table of 4(I’d recommend booking as it was really busy on a Sunday lunchtime) I thought everything about it was great. The girl that served us was really good and happy to be there. The menu is big and varied. I’d say the beef patty was a little over cooked and slightly dry, but the people I was with didn’t agree with me. I will 100% go here again.

This place never fails. The décor is colourful and crazy, with comic book wallpaper and 80’s cartoon characters everywhere — there’s even a scalextric track on the ceiling! The food isn’t exactly diet friendly, but who goes to a burger joint for salad? There’s absolutely loads of choice so you can pretty much have anything you want on top of your burger, and you have the choice of chicken, beef or veggie. All the burgers are named after famous characters and the menu looks great. There’s some crazy drinks on there too — from bacon milkshakes to lageritas(a personal fave!) My boyfriend ordered the hot chicken wings recently. He was warned they were extremely hot but he can handle spice so he went for it anyway! What followed was hilarious! One bite and he was sweating, dizzy, couldn’t feel his lips and not feeling so clever anymore. We since found out they are made with three of the hottest chillies on earth! They had over a million Scoville units! They do takeaway if you don’t want to sit in(or you’ve got someone you can send to pick it up and bring it to you in bed with a hangover!) They also do a mean hotdog! I had a hotdog with red onions, American cheese sauce and pulled pork the other day and it was yummy! It’s quite a lot of money for what it is(£10ish a burger) but you get a naughty, messy meal that’s delicious! I took my 12 year old nephew and he loved it because it’s something a bit different! My 30 yr old mates also love it for the same reason.

Second visit and still amazing. I love burgers, I love comics, I love bad 80’s music. If you like all these you have to check it out! There are so many burgers to choose from you have to study the menu in great detail… First visit I had the Chuck Norris — burger with USA cheese pulled pork, BBQ pulled pork and fried onions. This time I had the monthly Joker special called Mr T — meatballs, american cheese, bacon ANDBBQ pulled pork — definitely my meat quota for the week but yum! You have to get the trailer park fries(fries topped with aged cheddar sauce, BBQ pulled pork and haystack onions). Try the Fallout sauce(in moderation! It’s a slow burner). Staff are always really friendly and the atmosphere is loud but really good fun. I always want to try the milkshakes but too full… you won’t be needing dessert. One day I will do the Fallout Challenge, just gotta start training early!

IF they would let me live here i would! Great looking place, if you grew up in the 80’s can spend your time spotting all your favourite toys and characters as it is covered in them! Even the bathroom is awesome! Large selection of burgers all with names of your favourite 80’s tv show or movie, although it takes quite some time to process it all, you almost want to order everything! They earnt title of «best restaurant in the world ever«from me as i asked for no salad and they asked if i would like to replace it with something else… like pulled pork! I have refused salad all over the world and not had such a dream reply, i love this place and almost married the waitress on the spot(much to my Girlfriends disappointment, although she did warn them at this point that i may never leave!). The burgers are great, the pulled pork is lovely(and better than salad of course) the sides are great the onion rings my friend had were abnormally large. The fries garlic and chilli option is a must. Milkshakes are good. I don’t think any of us were disappointed. Swift and friendly service, does get busy so book ahead for busy times. We have had and experienced a couple of birthday parties there and they really make it a lot of fun, from dirty cocktails to making the entire restaurant sing the whole Fresh Prince theme tune, we have really had some fun times there. Staff are great, food is great, atmosphere, surroundings, drinks, desserts, can sit outside in a mock field if you wish or sit indoors and see if you can guess ALL the superheros on the wall, tough for the nerdiest of 80’s kids! If you have not been here and like a great burger you are missing out, well priced too and always enjoyable.

Atomic burger serves up a great combination of delicious burgers, quirky décor, mega milkshakes and ‘I-need-one-of-those’ cocktails. Based in the middle of Gloucester road, it has a fair bit of competition. In fact, over the last few years there have been quite a few burgers restaurants open in Bristol, but Atomic Burger offer a really different, fun experience. First things first; the restaurant is comic book themed. Everything from the walls, floor, menu and windows is covered in marvel-style comic book pictures. That obviously makes it a great place to take kids, but you’ll also find lots of couples, groups and students. It’s probably not the best place for a business lunch. Me and my girlfriend went for the first time yesterday and it was great to sit outside and make the most of the sun. We sat on the same table as another couple and got chatting to them. They had been to Atomic Burger MANY times and were on a quest to try every burger on the menu. If you do then you get 20% off for 12 months. Just ask for a sticker after your meal and if you collect them all you get the life discount. The couple both had cocktails that had a bottle of Sol larger upside down in the glass — I didn’t care what it was, I wanted one! After ordering«whatever they’ve got» it turned out to be a ‘largerita’ which was SO good! The Sol slowly tops up your margarita as you drink — genius! I’m a sucker for a gimmick! The menu is big and actually a little bit confusing. I went with the LLAP: beef burger, pulled chicken, blue cheese sauce, Louisiana hot sauce and spring onion. It was amazing! I had the garlic and chilli fries which were also really good. The best thing for me though, was the beavers jalapeño mustard. Mmmm, beavers jalapeño muuuustard! A must try if you like spicy food. We left, met some friends at another bar, and then went back to Atomic Burger to show them the largeritas. I’m not sure if I’ll eat there enough times to get the 20% life discount, but I’ll definitely be back!

Was looking on Gloucester Road to have something to eat with my Dad before going to a gig. Was immediatly drawn to Atomic burger and when I saw the menu I knew I could quite happily order any burger on the menu. Even though it may be slightly pricey it is value for money. I’m not a massive burger fan but these were lovely. There was a good choice of sides and the milkshakes were nice and rich. Really fun atmosphere and good service I hope the chain expands further
