Chans Chow

This is one of the larger Chinese takeaways in the area offering more of a finer food experience — and it’s rather good.
The focus is on Peking and traditional wok cooking which makes a pleasant change from the usual deep fried stuff. Things are slightly more expensive here with the average dish about £6 but there are lots of options — including a wide vegetarian range. There’s a couple of rare stuff here too predominantly in the seafood section with such treats as ‘squid with green peppers in black bean sauce’.
With regular deals such as the current ‘any two dishes for £10′ and a dynamic menu this is a really enjoyable place to come.

I lived down the road from Chans Chow for a year and regularly had my favourite ‘Chicken and Cashew Nuts in Yellow Bean Sauce’. Sometimes it was amazing, other times it fell short. When it was good, it was very, very good. This is why, when I found myself disappointed, I always came back. No longer living near Chans Chow, I still order from there. The staff are ever so friendly and I often get a free bag of prawn crackers or fortune cookies. The food is usually very good but the portions are relatively small for the amount you pay. Expect to pay more than a tenner for a basic dish with rice or noodles. They have a great deal on at the moment where you can get two dishes, rice or noodles, and a starter for £10.

good chinese takeaway! love their crispy beef with chiilli sauce. they accompany any changes to your orders well aswell. but my bf hadproblems with card transaction with them so i recommend paying cash! foodwise. ⁴⁄₅ customer service, ⁵⁄₅

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway.
The food is quick, very tasty. The mixed starter is great value! So much (seaweed, bbq ribs, sesame prawn toasts and something else I think).
The service is great, and they also keep your address so you don’t have to keep explaining it over the phone for repeat orders.

Really good chinese takeaway. The set meals are good value. Can have to wait quite long for your order though. The crispy beef is good as is the seaweed. Best chinese takeaway in Bristol!
