gem of a find
only about a mile or so off the M5/​M4 motorways, so hardly anytime to break off journey
came off road ate superb light lunch (baguette with fantastic ham, and superb caesar chicken salad) and back on road all in about 45 mins
no longer and not much difference in price between rubbish service station and here
lovely setting too

An excellent little country pub. Being in Almondsbury it’s fairly upmarket and a little pricey, but it’s not snooty about it. The range of beers is decent, the bar food is of a good quality and on a warm Summer’s day it’s a great place to sit outside and relax.
On Friday lunchtimes it gets taken over by office workers from Bradley Stoke having working lunches but apart from that it’s a great place for lunch.
