This is the best independent ladies boutique I have ever come across. The interior itself is simple, no fuss and tasteful, it allows the beautiful clothes, shoes, bags and accessories to speak for themselves! There are some amazing Danish chairs for your friend or partner to relax in. The merchandise all appears to be carefully selected by someone with impeccable taste and attention to detail. The shop has a small but unique selection from super cool Labels such as ACNE, Isabel Marant, Vanessa Bruno and Margiela. There is also a scattering of Jas MB/Jerome Dreyfuss bags and some ‘to die for footwear’. Prices are expensive, but the clothes are worth every penny, each piece I have bought from here has stayed in my wardrobe and been a true investment!!! It’s worth mentioning that the staff are really friendly, not stuck up and always there to help of you need it. Well worth a visit…

The only real difference I saw between Tribeca and say, an All Saints were the price tags The same flimsy, see-through tshirt will run you £250 while the cute sheer tunic dress is a measly £625 … if only I were flush enough to afford these luxuries If one could afford this shop, one would be awfully elegant. Great cuts, unique wares & fantastic colors… but not sure what’s up these days with all the see-through materials… just because it’s soft, fine, & see-through, doesn’t mean it’s worth £££ You’ll also find silver jewelry in the display case up front — more reasonable w/pieces around £80

This is obviously one of those shops that someone with loads of money has as hobby. The rails are full of singular items, with no apparent structured collections so it’s like browsing a rich persons wardrobe. The clothes are all very subtle, in blacks, greys, creams and mossy greens. The small jewellery counter had some gorgeous pieces too, also very subtle, with tiny thin gold chains decorated with a few small gold stars, or balls, or birds. Unfortunately, it is all so high end it is well out of my price range. I looked at a pair of mossy green culottes, which were fairly simple, but cost £300. A jersey top was £250. I wonder if I will ever be in the market to spend that much money on every day clothes. I suspect not. In the meantime though, its a nice shop for a browse, the sales assistant was quite friendly, and unlike in some posh shops she didn’t frown at me and my obviously Primark bought shoes.

I’ve been wanting to go into Tribeca for awhile because of that eye-catching piece of framed flower artwork in the window. I was a little disappointed though — mostly because I couldn’t afford anything inside. The boutique sells women’s clothing — only a small selection, including dresses, elegant tops, sweaters and blouses. There were several pairs of jeans; each style with an interesting name — the most amusing was the ‘cigarette legged’ pair. Accessories were displayed sparingly throughout the shop — large and stylish handbags, a few pairs of dress shoes and there was also a small collection of lingerie hanging on the wall. The sales clerk wasn’t friendly to me, but I noticed she did greet the person who came in after me. 50 – 50, I suppose.

Tribeca is a lovely little upmarket boutique in the North Laines, which is sadly a little too lovely for the likes of me! From the simple deep purple shop façade to the gorgeous, sumptuous clothing within, Tribeca is stylish and contemporary through and through. The clothing is sleek and understated– lots of earthy and muted tones, simple but elegant cuts and beautiful fabrics– velvet, silk, cotton and linen. Of course, all of this is reflected in the price tag! The colours and styles remind me a little of Hobbs, although they are somehow more youthful and not quite as reserved. They often have fantastic shoes– I once fell in love with a pair of gray suede boots, but sadly I just couldn’t justify parting with £300! Tribeca hand pick items from the collections of many designers, including Sass and Bide, FrostFrench, Ksubi and Ella Moss.
