North Star Studios is a fab co-​operative of fine artists and local print makers. Located opposite The Level, they’re based in a three-​storey period property with original strained glass windows and wooden floorboards. Facilities include screeprinting, etching, lithography, photography and relief.
The building can be pretty chilly in the winter so members are advised to wrap up warm. Membership starts at £40 a month and entitles you to 24 hour access of the studio. There’s a co-​operative pot where members pay £1 a day for electricity, water and building maintenance.
In short, a fantastic resource for budding and established local artists.
