Popped in here for a coffee after a nice ride on the Volks Railway. A nice café with some nice homemade cakes for sale. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and are very quick to serve you. I had a cheese scone and a Cappuccino and my wife had a pot of tea along with a cheese scone as well. The scones had been heated in the microwave which is normally ok, but these ones were in probably a little too long and we’re burning hot when they were brought out to the table and went a little hard on the edges when they cooled down. Putting that aside, a pleasant place to sit and relax with a coffee.

We had a really nice full english breakfast here. Guessing by the queue, they must trade well being situated at the Marina. Seating indoors and outdoors present. We sat outside because it was such a lovely day out in the sun. We didn’t wait long for our food to arrive. The coffee was good too. Just a warning though. The seagulls do come up and eyeball your food so show them who’s the boss!

Café Zio has a great location in the Marina Village with a large terrace that is always full in the summer months. Pet friendly, it’s especially nice for dog walkers(like my mum!) to sit out and enjoy an Italian coffee and a home made cake on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Apart from that, their specialities are pastries, sandwiches and a great choice of breakfasts from the traditional fry up to continental fare. Their smoothies are also becoming increasingly popular as are their iced coffees. The staff are lovely and the prices always remain reasonable.
