Be careful with the seagulls(eating there is not a good option, unless you want to share your food with them) and enjoy! Do go for the sunset and go into the water only if you do not mind freezing, including during summer.

What is not to love about Brighton Beach? Pick up some beer or cider on the way and splurge and pay the 5.5 pounds for a beach chair and umbrella, and you could easily stay all day! A clean pebble beach, wonderful people watching, and bright blue waters as far as the eye can see. Sunny days here are simply the best.

You simply cannot get anything better than Brighton Beach once the weather has warmed up. On days like today I feel so happy that I am fortunate to live in Brighton and Hove. As soon as there is a bit of sunshine, everyone descents on to the beach! It makes me wonder WHO exactly has a job in Brighton because no one ever seems to be at work! I love Brighton beach so much, although when I want a bit of peace and quiet I will head to the beach at my end of town in Hove, as one really hot days it can get really manic!

Brighton Beach and its pier was one of the first tourist spots I hit up during my time abroad at University of Sussex. It was a very pretty area, especially around sunset and at night when the lights are on. The beach is unique since it’s not sand but stone/small smooth pebbles next to the water. It allows you to do a stroll up and done with lots of activities to do and sights to see. There are a good amount of street performers. In the daytime, they have a lot of chairs that you can rent to sit and enjoy the fresh air. Around the beach, there are lots of bars and restaurants to check out. I definitely suggest taking the special someone here for a first date or taking a tourist out of town for a chill night out. The beach seems pretty clean but I did not really see people swimming. it is still cold in the month of June and July.

Just have to agree with most of the comments made by fellow Qypers. Of course there are other beaches ie Kuantan(east coast of Malaysia), Kuching in Borneo and even the tip of Yemen BUT none of these have the people of Brighton on the sand! Nice to be home

Sauberer Strand mit einer riesigen Promenade. Unzählige Restaurants, Kneipen usw erwarten den Besucher. Aufgrund des eher kühlen Wetters konnten wir das Wasser leider nicht testen.

This is such a clean well presented beach. We travel from Great Yarmouth to this area. The beach never has litter on it and having adequate litter disposal for BBQ’s etc is a great idea. i will continue to come to this area

Brighton beach on a sunny British summers day, 99 in hand watching the world go by, what could be nicer? The fantastic thing about Brighton is it’s eclectic and diverse residents, there’s always something fun going on, and little time for the pretentiousness that can pervade London. After a nice sunning there’s a great variety of restaurants and shops, markets in the Lanes area are a must if it’s your first time there, a little kooky and quaint but undeniably charming!

When the Sun has got his hat on there are very few places better to be than Brighton Beach. It’s a lively place in general but with pelting sun it really comes into its element with fun loving banter, beach-balls and street performers doing everything from live music to golden cyclists. Throw in mini city of Ice Cream, Doughnut and Hot Dog stalls on the seafront and the city centre itself which is just a few short steps away and you’ve got all you could ever need for a great day in the sun. Oh, there’s also a big blue wet thing that’s ideal for cooling down so make sure you give it a go.

Some people complain about the pebbles on Brighton beach, but as someone who loathes sunbathing and likes visiting the seaside all year round it suits me to be able to happily trudge through them in all seasons. So why the pebbles? I was told just last week by a Brighton resident they were first put there by the Victorians. Apparently the wheels on the modesty bathing huts favoured by bashful bathers kept getting stuck in the sand and the powers that be had had enough! Having done a reasonably thorough web search on the subject this story cannot be confirmed or denied — have I been lied to?

Brighton beach is full of stuff to do: Bars, Clubs, a pier, restaurants, rides there’s a even a mini-golf range which is awesome and only £2 per play. Ok, so it’s not the nicest beach in the world and is covered in pebbles but it’s part of what makes being in Brighton so fun. I seem to have spent the end of many a drunken night ending up on the beach with friends. I recommend the Fortune of War pub down there and the fish and chip shop.
