I’ve certainly done my rounds of the boutiques and the bolt holes on my many trips to Brighton and this has to be one of the best. Not necessarily for the décor, which even so is modern and classy, but probably because of the owners Sean and Kathryn who go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I also love the fact that this building is slightly further away from the main drag too, making it peaceful at night if you’re looking to rest.
Our room was beautifully and uniquely appointed with a cast iron bed and a feature wall of colourful wallpaper. The bathroom, whilst small, was new, bright and clean with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries and the breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in a long time: full English or options including scrambled egg with smoked salmon, kippers with a soft poached egg and a veggie version. Our small double was supposed to be £100 but worked out around £80 a night with the ‘3rd night half price’ offer. Grand.
