I often used the Three Horseshoes as the first port of call on a night out, working my way through town onto Cody’s or the Roof at the end of the night. It seems loads of other people have the same idea, as at the start of the night it’s normally pretty busy, petering out as the night wears on. It’s never totally dead inside and there’ll always be a few stragglers hanging on until the 2am close. It’s a fairly decent size, with a dancefloor area towards the back and plenty of seating in the front. There’s also a decent sized heated smoking area out the back aswell. They have a pool table, a decent enough jukebox and a couple of pub quiz machines to keep you interested aswell. The prices are good and the staff are friendly enough but I couldn’t spend all night here, as the cheesy music(mainly 80s stuff) wears thin after a little while. A good little place to start the night off chilled out with a pint or two and a couple of games of pool.
