Have to say I was quite disappointed on my last return to Abacus. I have been going for years and there has obviously been a change in staff/​management recently. The food was very bland and not very good quality for the price. And portion wise very small. The staff are nice enough but the main reason you go to a Chinese is for the food so Abacus has drastically gone down in the estimations. At one time this was one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area.
I wouldn’t recommend this place after my visit and I don’t think I will also be going back.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! I know food in England is suppose to be shyt but I considered that since this was chinese, and chinese tend to stay traditional in their cooking that everything would be okay. HA! Boy was I wrong! Not only was the food bland and tasteless, the portion wouldn’t fill up a 3 yr old! All that crap was also very expensive, we spent more than 35 quid on our tea for 2 excluding drinks. Save yourself the miserable time peeps…
