Although quite some distance from our house, Seniors offer fantastic fish and chips, have eaten here a couple of times and have always consumed our food in the car simply because there is nothing worse than cold soggy fish and chips.
The fish here have a light crispy batter and not greasy and the chip portions are very generous indeed. Certainly worth a visit for a chippy tea!

I have been to the Thornton branch of Seniors many times to sample their award winning fish and chips, so thought I’d try the Blackpool branch for a change. I wasn’t disappointed. Ok, the surroundings aren’t quite as flashy as the purpose built one in Thornton but it’s still a decent clean, comfortable restaurant.
On arrival, after choosing a table we were given menus with a sample of one of the daily specials which was John Dory. I ordered the hake whilst my dining companion ordered the John Dory. Both were superb. The batter is really perfect, light, delicate flavour and just the right level of crispiness.
I would recommend the ‘square deal’ option off the menu as it includes mushy peas and a similarly sized fish, just a few less chips than a standard portion.
They have a good ice cream range so I finished my meal off with a portion of mint choc chip — one of my favourites. They are licensed too so if you fancy beer or wine with your meal this is possible.
I’m now at the point where going to Blackpool for the day and not going to one of the branches of Seniors is almost unthinkable!

Best fish and chips I’ve ever had and with mushy peas!!! SOOO GOOD! They have the different choices of square versus full meals, the only difference is how much chips/​fries you get with the meal, the fish is the same size and same with the mushy peas.
They have the option to order take out or eat in the restaurant, service is fast, food is served pretty quickly. I will definitely be coming back here should I ever be in the area.

Popular chippy which is part of a small local chain that has four or five shops in the Fylde area. I wrote a review a few years ago saying that I would never go there again after a bad customer experience and I kept my word for about two years! However, it is my nearest chippy and as I glanced in from time to time I noticed that the offending staff members seemed to have gone so I started going back in again. It is a chip shop with restaurant attached but I always use it as a takeaway so that is what my review is based on. There is always a good choice of fish on the menu which is invariably excellent. However, I am going to buck the trend of previous reviewers and say that the chips aren’t always that good. There I’ve said it! Sometimes they are simply not cooked very well. I also think that it’s quite pricey by chip shop standards so they need to be getting the chips right every time to justify the price and maintain their reputation. They’ve recently started packing the fish and chips in boxes though which is great news for takeaway customers, polystyrene makes fish batter go soggy on the journey home but it is still lovely and crispy out of a box. Fully agree with previous reviewers that the place always looks spotlessly clean. Not a bad chippy all in all.

This as got to be one of the best fish and chip shops in Lancashire, the food is always second to non and the service is always spot on, I do believe the horrabin family who own it catch there own fish, that as got to be a plus

I love Seniors fish and chips and mushy peas. I have yet to find anywhere in America that has fish and chips as awesome as these :(Hope to be back to England again soon to get my fill of these.

This is a really good chippy that is excellent quality and good value for money. It can get busy at times but the staff are very efficient so you are not kept waiting for too long. The food is excellent and whether you choose to eat in or take away you will not be disapointed.
The eat in part is okay, very basic but who needs frills when you have good quality food and really friendly and helpful staff.
It is always clean and you don’t have to watch for long before you see a member of staff cleaning something. This is always a good sign especially where food is concerned.
If you go you will not be disapointed at the choice on offer and the price.

Kind of place that people talk about when they say seaside fish and chips. Absolutely delicious. A clean restaurant and a warm and friendly service, what more could you ask for?

This really is as good as it gets for Fish and chips.
Although, when they know your order when you walk through the door, it does get a little embarrassing.
The family that owns the business are fish merchants by trade and this reflected in the quality and variety of fish that is on offer, but the prices are similar to that in any other local chippy.
There is usually a ‘special’ on offer, this week it was Calamari, absolutely gorgeous.
As well as the fish, there is also the usual pies, pudding, sausage, chicken nuggets and scampi on offer.
It is a busy shop that doesn’t rely on holiday trade and the food is always fresh.

They don’t bat an eyelid when you turn up on a Saturday in your pajamas. Great friendly service and great food!

Regarded as one of the best fish & chips shops in the Blackpool area, as well as probably the country. You can take away or eat in and it’s all reasonably priced. Despite the top up on price to eat in I’d generally suggest that otherwise it goes a bit soggy!
