I really like zizzi as I think it’s more comfortable and cosy than most chains and the food is actually quite good. The deco the have is different and quite artsy and the staff in there really take time to discuss the types of food and are always happy to take on customisation a which doesn’t seem to be the case in a lot of restaurants today. I always have the veggie platter starter which is super delicious and tried the mushroom tortellini which was good too. It’s in the mailbox with view onto the canal and is lovely when the weather is horrible but even better when you can sit outside in the sunshine! I can’t wait for them to come to Brindley place too(opening soon)

Great restaurant with very friendly staff and super tasty food. We had late dinne my choice was pizza diavola and my wife went for pasta carbonara. My pizza was very well done and spicy as it should(yummy) also it was a proper size one. Freshly baked. Pasta was very fresh, contained nice mushrooms and bacon. Also a good size portion. Maybe even bit too big. Highly recommended place. Ristorante is good value for money

I’ve been to this Italian restaurant a couple of times now, and enjoy the ambience and most importantly the dishes they have on offer. The restaurant is situated alongside the canal, and its great to soak up some sun by sitting at one of their tables outside. Lots of tasty italian dishes to try — salads, pizzas, and pastas — the type of food I LOVE! I ordered a glass of Zinfandel which was deliciously chilled, and really hit the spot as a result. I would recommend the Fungi risotto — really tasty and was plentiful in mushrooms arriving in a small dish, but oh so filling! I asked for cheese to be grated over the top which was a great addition. I was in Risotto heaven! The waitress service was attentive, up until our plates were cleared and we wanted to see the dessert menu. The waitress was no where to be seen, guess she was just busy serving others! Eventually she appeared(20mins or so later) and I ordered the Lemon Tart for dessert. Reminded me of my mums lemon meringue pie which trust me is a good thing. A great balance of sharp and really lemony with lemon zest grated over the top. A perfect end to the meal. If you fancy an early dinner 5pm is a good time to go, as the restaurant is relatively quiet.

Italian restaurant situated on the waterfront at the Mailbox. This is becoming one of my favourite restaurants. The main reason is the location. Sitting outside overlooking the canal is great on a sunny day but my boyfriend and I love the surroundings so much we even stayed outside when it was raining(there is some cover). The staff are really friendly and attentive. We’ve had the same waitress a few times now who is really lovely and makes you feel comfortable. I recently had to ask to have a dish altered slightly due to a dietary requirement and she was very accomodating. For reasonably priced wines the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Griggio they serve here are brilliant. Both are really fresh and subtle, with no aftertaste that you sometimes get with wines under £20. Dishes I would recommend are the pizzas(delicious!), salad and the risotto.

Great food in a great location — ambiance was nice. Getting a table during Saturday afternoon was fairly easy but then again, the food fest was going on as well so that could’ve been part of why it was quiet to me. I enjoyed my Trentino pizza(yum) while the mister opted for a superfood salad(don’t know how long his salad kick will last) and both tasted nice. Only one star off because the pizza could’ve been a little bit hotter but other than that very tasty. Quite reasonable as well in terms of pricing so I think I’ll be back and try other dishes when I’m not jones-ing for pizza ;)
