Waited nearly 2 hours for food for part of the order missing. Ring up to ask about it and received a phone call 1.5hours later to ask if we still wanted it! Complained about the food as it was awful and just got we’re the pizza side so nothing to do with us. Any other company would offer a refund or at least part refund
Lost me as a customer now would not recommend to anyone!

Has gone downhill rapidly lately. Last 3 orders have been late delivered.
Am sat here now after ordering 2 hours ago. Have phoned several times only to be told ‘it’s on its way’
Edit: finally arrived and part of the order is missing. No apology.
A shame as this used to be the best fish and chips in south Birmingham.
Definitely avoid from now on.

I’m biased because Sophie’s is my local chippy, but these the best chips in Brum and the best part they deliver. I know, a chippy that delivers, what a novel concept!
The only fault can find with Sophie’s is that sometimes the chicken is a little dry, but in the grand scheme of things, that’s a tiny fault.
Staff are friendly too.
If you’re ever in Cotteridge, pay them a visit (or their pizza place over the road, which s just as nice)

Sophies Choice holds a special place in my heart as the place where my nan and I would go and get the lunchtime special.
Mini Fish and Chips, with mushy peas and curry sauce.
I made a return visit recently and happy to say it hasn’t changed much!
It seems to have a faithfull following and is the kind if chip shop were you can have you food served on a plate with an accompanying cup of tea, which I must say in my experience is pretty rare!
The chips were crisp and hot and the fish soft under a crunchy batter.
The thought of which is stirring a serious fish and chips craving in me!
Sophies Choice offers good quality fish and chips with the novel option of a plate and some serious cutlery.
You can name another chip shop that offers cups of tea then i’d like to hear about it!

Sophie’s Choice is an award winning fish and chip shop which Cotteridge can be rightly proud to call its own. This place is as close as it gets to an upmarket fish and chips experience, by that I mean you can choose to dine inside the establishment and have all your food served up to you on a plate. As alien as it may seem to some people eating chips with a set of cutlery, eating inside Sophie’s is a very enjoyable experience. They do some of the best chips in brum and although it could be considered a tad pricey it is very much worth the extra cash. As I mentioned previously this place is award winning, having been bestowed with the honour of the Sea Fish Quality Award in 2007 and they continue to maintain impeccable levels of service. I’d recommend their cheeseburgers but to be perfectly honest you can’t go wrong no matter what you order at Sophie’s as it is all ludicrously tasty!

I have been to Sophie’s a couple of times and it is a sound little chippy. I am not too adventurous when it comes to fish and chips, so I normally stick to my usual dish of cod and chips with mushy peas. I have always found Sophie’s to be quite a busy little place, but I never have to wait too long to be served. The staff are efficient and have been rather friendly when I have been in, which always makes me keen to come again and the food is of a good standard and is quite tasty too. I have also used their online service, which has been useful for nights when I do not want to venture out, but fancy fish and chips. You can either pay online for your food or pay cash upon delivery. It usually takes about 40 minutes. When I have ordered online, the chips come in a little box and there are always loads! I think it is a good chippy and the online service makes it that little bit better!

staff are helpful fish is always fresh batter is nice chicken kebab meat was ok i asked for salad with my sauce and i should have asked for it at the beginning when i ordered it so will know for next time £5 for a large chicken meat and chips which is fine
