In the Cotteridge area there are three, THREE Sophie’s Choice. Each within a ten-metre distance which is a bit excessive don’t you think? Anyhow, if you’re in the Cotteridge area either living locally or just passing through you have three of the same fish and chips bar you can pop into to receive the same or perhaps a slightly amended fish and chips menu. Yes, I think that their quality and standards of food is good and at an inexpensive price too. Within these Sophie’s Choice’s you can either dine in or takeaway. Dining in isn’t too bad but they don’t supply toilet facilities which hopefully will change. So I guess I would say check out these various Sophie’s Choice’s, but only on the condition that you don’t need the toilet beforehand. It’s good to know that Cotteridge won’t be short of Fish and Chips though!

I think the fact that the owners of this takeaway started out with just Sophie’s Choice(the sister shop around the corner) and eventually grew to the point where they had to open a separate pizza place(Sophie’s Pizza) and then this slightly smaller Sophie’s 2 is testament to the fact that they know their takeaway food. I used to go to the original Sophie’s Choice when I was much younger and I watched it grow and grow over the years, and this was purely because of the quality of their food. The burgers and kebabs were delicious and if you wanted you could actually dine in and eat your chips on a plate with a knife and fork! Anyway, they have consistently made great takeaway food and expanded, and that’s where Sophie’s 2 comes in. Essentially Sophies 2 is the same as Sophie’s Choice, the same menu, the same good food, they just take care of the delivery side of the restaurants too. While this is a review for Sophie’s 2 it can be applied to any of the 3 restaurants as they are all next to each other, Sophie’s is a great chippy/fast food takeaway that you can even eat in. Top notch nosh too.
