Always a bit busy and can get overcrowded, definitely make a reservation. Food is absolutely amazing. Been there a handful of times over the years. Never been disappointed. They are willing to take large groups. Great staff and service. The spicy prawn crackers are amazing! Parking can be difficult.

I visited here for a nice family meal on a Sunday afternoon, and having never eaten here before, I was pleasantly surprised. Nicely decorated interior, with good lighting in the day, and ample light with the high windows surrounding the restaurant. The food is fresh, and flavoursome, and as I have begun eating fish, I loved the fish soup. There is a wide varied menu, with soo much choice on offer & decent sized portions, I found the options appealing. This place doesn’t disappoint, the staff were attentive, and I’ll certainly be going back,(voucher or no voucher). My tip, try the passionfruit mojito, refreshing and perfect for the pallet after wonderful Thai aromatic food.

Ordered vegetarian starter sharer which included 4 different starter items-the spring rolls, golden bags and sweetcorn cakes were lovely but not sure what the fourth was but it was quite doughy! Ordered masaman curry for main which is a crowd pleaser with a side of pak choi which was delicious. Really full afterwards but well worth it. Also used tastecard so all of the above for two plus 1 glass of wine came to just under £40 which is really good value. Was quite loud in there tonight-it was busy but they also had someone playing any singing-he was good but i had trouble hearing the staff(and my other half!)

I enjoyed it so much last time, I have returned yet again! Went here with a friend and he hadn’t been here before, so we had the sharing starter and then a set menu for the remainder of the meal, which consisted of Thai Green Curry, Salt and Pepper prawns and Pad Thai, which where all equally as scrumptious. Cannot recommend here enough.

The food and the atmosphere was excellent at this restaurant, we really enjoyed ourselves as you will see from the pictures. We had the summer menu and I was already full from the starters! I had lamb and my sister had duck, both of which were very succulent and tasty, the meat just fell off the bone. Compliments to the chef as it was cooked brilliantly. Loved the lemon tart, but was not to keen on the brownie, although my sister loved the brownie. Lol. Thank you for the service it was amazing and so sorry for break glass(my sister did it)!

Easily one of my favourite places to eat in Birmingham. The extensive menu is very tricky to choose from — their fish/seafood dishes are fantastic(I had a soft-shelled crab for starters on my first visit), and vegetarians are very well-catered for with plenty of perfectly-cooked vegetable or tofu dishes. The venue itself is completely different from the Moseley branch of Sabai Sabai — much larger, with lots of tables and plate glass, and feels more like a chain restaraunt than an independent.(Which wouldn’t always be to my taste, but!) Service is fast, slick and unobtrusive. The bar is almost too well-stocked, with beautiful wines and cocktails to complement the food. Prices aren’t cheap, but are certainly reasonable for what you’re getting. I’d come here far more often if I could!!!

Already being a fan of the sabai sabai in Moseley we recently ventured up to the fairly newly opened Harborne branch. Arriving there it was clear to see they are out to please(admittedly it was valentine’s day so they may have been pulling out the stops) as we were greeted with a smile and instantly had the offer to take our coats and umbrellas within seconds of entering! The drinks service at the table was fantastic and the range of wines(white especially) showed a couple of the more unusual grape varieties at very reasonable restaurant prices, the wine itself not failing to live up to standards. The food was excellent in taste and there was enough time for chit chat between courses without seeming like you were waiting for your food. Both vegetarians and carnivores are catered for equally and the cocktail menu is a quite a big excuse for us to head back there(we were too full on this occasion). Another one to recommend!

This is right around the corner from my house so the location couldn’t be better– never had to wait even without a reservation. The food has always been good for us, I always get noodles with chicken( Boring I know) and my husband gets the duck which he raves about every single time. Prices are good, the one downside seems to be the drink service– it’s slow at best and you might wait a while to order your actual mains because the server is waiting for your cocktails to be made…

The restaurant is located on the main road so it’s difficult to miss. It’s a shame they don’t have designated parking so I had to drive around the residential roads to find a place. The décor is a fusion of traditional Thai with contemporary design. There is a fireplace in the centre of the restaurant that adds a rustic feel. In the evenings they tend to lower the lights so the restaurant is quite dim — perfect for a romantic meal! The menu is varied and mouth-wateringly good. The portions are not overly generous so you can easily eat a starter with a main course without feeling the top bottom of your trousers is soon to give way! The prices are moderate given the style and quality of the restaurant. The staff is polite, however I’ve been served by the same waitress twice who doesn’t note the order thus ends up asking the same thing twice!

I love Thai food so when I heard Sabai Sabai had opened a branch in Harborne(they have one in Moseley too — really nice place but due to an abundance of tables and the fact it is dead popular also the sort of place where it’s almost impossible to enter without jarring someones elbow and/or knocking somebodies coat of their chair) I was eager to try it out. I ended up booking it for a works do — we went on a Saturday night and after a slight ‘misunderstanding’ with another diner about us hogging all the cushions we settled down at our big table and got stuck in to some really lovely food. I went for a satay chicken starter — absolutely gorgeous and Thai green curry — ditto. Everyone in my party agreed that the food was good and the service excellent with comparisons made to the slightly more expensive Thai Edge in town. The wine was also nice and its certainly somewhere I would visit again, although next time I will make sure that the person to cushion ratio is right.

Had heard positive reviews of the one in Moseley, so thought would give this one a try. As expected was busy, being a Saturday night and all, but seated quickly and met almost instantly for drinks order by waitress. For what is a small restaurant you certainly don’t feel cramped in, combining a fresh modern environment. Large array of dishes on the menu, but some tasty prawn crackers, a fresh G & T for the wife and a cool Thai Beer for me sure helped soak it in. Starters arrived promptly, we shared a Sabai Sabai Platter, which was fresh and tasty, the chicken satay amazingly succulent. Mains soon arrived, i had the Geng Deng Duck, just a little too hot but with large quantities of fresh vegetables and Duck i was happy. The wife had Choo Chee Pla Tilapia, which she is still raving about. No deserts, but they were promptly offered. Total bill with side orders came to a reasonable £45, so was very impressed. Would highly recommend.
