Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Pinched a bit of lobster of my partners plate too which was also awesome. Couldn’t pick any fault from the night really so simply deserves a 5 star.

I’ve been to Nosh & Quaff 3 times now since it’s summer opening. I do love me some lobster. The building is stunning inside. From the dining area to the toilets, no area was left untouched. Do yourself a favor and explore this landmark building. The menu is small and simple. Burger, ribs, lobster, some sides. I’ve tried a number of items off the menu. The lobster is tasty but quite small for the price point of £25. That butter sauce though is the stuff dreams are made of. My absolute favorite is the lobster roll though. But it is only served during lunch hours Monday to Friday. So unless you work in the city, this may be hard to order. The menu online mentions you can order the lunch items for takeaway, but when I called they wouldn’t let me order ahead of time and pick it up. They also have some nice cocktails to choose from, however they are far too full of ice. One slurp and it’s gone. I’ve never had bad service here. I am always well taken care of and its fast. One of my visits was for an anniversary, and they even decorated a dessert to wish us Happy Anniversary. Check out the picture! I do wish they would space the seating out though. Last time I got hit by a piece of lobster claw from the table next to me. Not cool. If you are a member of Independent Birmingham you get 10% of the bill. Also, if you sign up for the Nosh and Quaff newsletter they send you vouchers for your birthday and anniversary. We received a bottle of Prosecco on the house! I’m all about them deals :) Nosh & Quaff is a unique restaurant to the Birmingham food scene that is worth a try. I’m confident I will be back again.

Yum… I had lobster and grits with cornbread. For £14, I was more than satisfied. I just returned from Key West and was thrilled to get a great cajun meal in Birmingham. The other items on the menu looked great but I wasn’t terribly hungry. The atmosphere is also very pleasant art decco/industrial. Would reccommend to my friends.

My first experience of Nosh & Quaff was way back in September 2015, and have already here on regular occasions since. The food was faultless, With a concise and fun simple menu. we tried a variety of dishes all cooked to perfection, from flawless but not clawless lobster to the most incredible beef ribs I’ve tasted, even the sweet potato wedges were well above the expected standard, and all priced at such a reasonable level it would be rude not try something new. all the staff were genuinely warm and friendly, attentive and helpful without the slightest hint of pretence. The restaurant itself has a beautiful and unique style, keeping the grand original features with a raw, industrial feel(be sure to drink enough to need to visit the ‘Lavs’ and see the attention to detail and consistency in the design of the interior) On top of all of this, we loved the fun atmosphere, it has been a long time since we have been out for great food and been able to laugh and joke without feeling out of place. if you haven’t been already — You simply must try this place! Well done to Birmingham’s most creative restauranteurs for yet again creating another unique dining experience in our city.

Nosh & Quaff does a nice lobster, though not the best I’ve ever had and they run small(at least by the standards of this American). With fries and salad, £20 is not a terrible deal, but I don’t know, it left something to be desired for me… I kept gazing over at other peoples’ meals, and the wings and ribs looked really amazing and like they might have been more enjoyable. Awesome beers on tap, but pricey. The vibe of the place is cool though, it does remind me of gastro pubs in Brooklyn a bit, and the upstairs bar is a really great place to meet up with friends and chill. Dessert, though. Something I was not expecting– the rocky road brownie for was like, one of the most delicious brownies I have ever had, hands down. I’ll need to go back and try some other things off the menu for a final verdict. All round, a decent addition to the city centre.

This place is located down the road from the Bull Ring and New street station in the main fountain square. It is in an old building but has a modern industrial décor… one of my favorite styles. It also feels like big city swank like New York or London. The menu is simple. I think there are 5 main items, one being a whole small lobster, a hamburger, chicken wings and a few others. I am a complex person and love variety but Sometimes I really like just a few choices, I can jump into conversation right away without stress if picking a menu item. If you guessed I picked the lobster you guessed correct. It was a smaller lobster by American standards but came with a butter cream sauce and was tasty. I paired it with one of a number of possible side dishes and got sweet potato fries. They were really good. They have some nice beers and I forgot the name but loved it. Its with a try if just for the environment. Basically its like a modern bar and grill for Americans and a cross between a pub and Modern styled restaurant for English. The food is served restaurant style ie no table numbers, you will have service at the table.

Finally! Nosh&Quaff is here and I went for dinner with my other half to celebrate his birthday. I booked a table and for different reason I pushed it twice, once in person and the second time on the phone. They were nice to me both times. Tonight I got there 7 minutes late(sorry!) but no problem. Straight after saying my name the GM showed me the table and I asked for a cocktail, I said ‘recommend me one, please’. I don’t even know which one was it but it was delicious. A waiter came a few minutes later to take our order. Ok, about the menu. Is tiny. SOWHAT?! it’s GENIUS! Do you guys know how hard it is to set up a menu? To have fresh ingredients for everything when you have 45 options in it? I do, and it’s not easy, believe me. They have eight different things, and of course within the time it will be even more perfect but they just opened two weeks ago! Anyway I had the lobster and OHMY. It was really good. Fries and salad too. Boyfriend had the pork ribs, couldn’t even finish them because of the massive size! With coleslaw and fries. I had a dessert, cheesecake, I was expecting more but it was ok. In total, £48(the cocktail was on the house, we know the GM, thanks Tan!!) completely worth it. Service was nice and polite, not intrusive but attentive. We are planning already when to go back.
