Make no mistake. This is an old fashioned pub in a well hidden corner of Birmingham City Centre. This is what Digbeth used to be 15 – 20 years ago. Raw, well priced and full of potential. This is the new home of Two Towers Ale. There’s two doors for you to pick from one leads to the front Bar and the other a larger Lounge. to the rear is a «lean to» room with football table which leads into the yard. There’s street food in the yard most days and its worth checking twitter/facebook to see who is going to be there. When I went the food was from Southern Oven and was a great price for chicken and rice! The beer is made less than a mile away and there are some guest drinks. You might get some funny looks if you order anything other than ale or cider here though. This is an older crowed with smaller groups of young people. Worth checking out and worth a visit to see what it will become over the next 12 months.

Great pub that is tucked away and missed by many. It may be a little old fashioned inside but the beer is good and the staff are always really friendly and helpful. Perfect place for a quiet pint and when the weather is nice the beer garden is a lovely sun trap. Also there is a free pool tablel in the back room

This place is a bit of a curiosity — a real locals pub in a city centre location where there doesn’t appear to be any locals! Like a lot of non-regulars, I came here completely by accident when its more famous neighbour — The Bulls Head — was closed one Saturday afternoon. Although torrential rain forced me to seek shelter here, I was pleasantly surprised by the pub which, with the best will in the world, isn’t much to look at. Once we were out of the rain however, The Gun Makers poured us a pretty decent pint, and the staff were a friendly bunch(although some complimentary towels may have been nice as we were drenched). We found a quiet corner and soon dried off in the cosy and homely surroundings. Then, just as I was relaxing, I saw the beer garden from the window! It looked so quirky and inviting I swear I could hear it calling my name even though we’d never met before. I felt a bit like a kid on a wet playtime, but a happy one!
