Nourish At No44

Nourish at No44 is situated on one of the main shopping streets in Belper and is relatively new bistro restaurant. An impressive façade leads you into a spacious restaurant with a modern and stylish décor. A good bar selection and menu’s on clipboards, and a variety of seating was a good start. The lunch menu had the usual croissants (raspberry filled), pastries, sandwiches, big bowls of salad and even fishfinger sandwiches! Between the three of us we had two lots of chicken sandwiches with artisan bread, fresh and light. I had the bubble and squeak, which was a decent portion with tasty bacon, slightly drowned by a barbecue sauce, which though tasty, was too rich a flavour for the rest of the meal. Only a slight criticism though. Drinks wise, a good strong cup of coffee, was complemented with a freshly baked biscuit, the size of a digestive! For a first visit I was impressed and as an aside, the toilet is palatial!
